Julianne Hough Reveals if She Knows Any Secrets About DWTS Season 34’s Cast

Ahead of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34, there is one question all fans want answered: Who will be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy? The list of celebrity competitors has not yet been announced. Only wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and model and social media star Alix Earle have been confirmed, which means there are still plenty of spots up for grabs.

Some celebrities have dropped hints that they may be included in the upcoming season. Others have shared their interest in joining the show, including Marvel Universe star Tom Hiddleston and “The Traitors” winner Dylan Efron. But does Julianne Hough, who has been part of the ABC dance competition since 2007, have any answers?

In an interview with People, published on June 20, Hough was asked whether she had any insight into what was going to happen. “Like everyone else, I have no idea who is on the cast yet,” she told People. “I think this season is going to be spectacular from what we experienced last season to now. I get people sliding into my DMs all the time, like, ‘Hey, put in a good word.'”

Unfortunately, Hough did not share more information about who exactly has been messaging her about DWTS. She also refrained from giving any predictions.

Hough’s mention of how the season will be “spectacular” is undoubtedly exciting. She has seen enough seasons to be able to make this statement. She started as a professional dancer. Then later became a judge, and now co-hosts with Alfonso Ribeiro, a role she is expected to reprise for Season 34.

Julianne Hough Discusses the Importance of DWTS

Hough’s hosting gig is something she is passionate about. In an interview with The Wrap on June 14, she discussed how it allowed her to contribute to DWTS in a different capacity.

“This new chapter for me … is about how can I contribute and serve the people around me so that they can shine, and holding that space as a host to do so,” Hough said. “Hopefully, because I’ve been a part of the show for almost 20 years, there is a sense of authenticity, integrity, and trust built in with our audience [and] the people who followed along from the very beginning.”

Hough also teased that she felt “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34 was going to be the “biggest season yet.” She noted the energy and excitement surrounding the season. In the interview, she also discussed how DWTS appeals to people of different generations. “There’s just been this whole new resurgence of life like back into the show,” she said.
