Kelli Ferrell Wonders if RHOA Co-Star Porsha Williams Was Being 'Strategic' With Shamea Morton Birthday Post

All is definitely not well with the peaches of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The drama has been apparent all season. And with the reunion fast approaching, some relationships are going strong while others are on the chopping block. Newcomer Kelli Ferrell has had a front row seat to the craziness and is wondering if Porsha Williams is being strategic when she posted a birthday greeting for Shamea Morton.

Fans know that things have been rocky with Shamea and Porsha this season. The two have been friends since they were kids but are obviously not as close as they once were. Shamea even broke down in tears on Watch What Happens Live when discussing their estrangement. But then Porsha sparked hope about their relationship when she posted a sweet birthday message for Shamea. However, Kelli wonders if that post was sincere or strategic?

And she was right to worry. When RHOA Season 16 Episode 11 aired and Porsha went from sweet to savage on social media. In the episode, Shamea brought up that her and Porsha’s moms used to be BFFs but had a falling out. She didn’t give any other details but Porsha called her out for bringing up her mom.

RHOA’s Shamea Morton Says Drew Sidora Crossed a Line Working With Porsha Williams’ Ex

She posted a (now-deleted) warning on Instagram and essentially told Shamea, “Don’t f with my mom!”

So Kelli may have been onto something. She has felt especially close to Shamea after her falling out with Brit Eady. Kelli is feeling a bit protective of Shamea, saying the two have formed a bond and are building a friendship.

So it’s only natural, Kelli was a bit skeptical about Porsha’s birthday message. While she hopes the two girls can work it out given their long history, she also can’t help but wonder if the message was about trying to repair bridges since fans are largely siding with Shamea and the reunion is just a few weeks away.

“I’ve seen Shamea reach out to her (Porsha) numerous times and try to support her,” Kelli said. “And it was never reciprocated.” She noted that Porsha was “not willing” to share the spotlight with Shamea when she was promoted to full-time cast member. “I think the fans seeing who she really is and she’s not handling it too well or accepting it too well,” Kelli concluded.

We still have a few weeks before the reunion. We’ll have to wait to see if any bridges were mended before the reunion.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues on Bravo every Sunday at 8/7c and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
