Kevin Durant Says It's 'Lining Up' For Raiders To Draft Superstar CFB Quarterback

Kevin Durant thinks a match between Shedeur Sanders and the Raiders looks like a strong possibility.

At this point in the season, there are two things we know about the Las Vegas Raiders. First, the team is not good, and will likely have a high pick during the 2025 NFL Draft. Second, the organization is in desperate need of a franchise quarterback.

Fortunately, when both of those things are true, they usually line up well. The Raiders stand a decent chance of landing one of the better quarterbacks in the 2024 draft class.

On an interview on the 'Up and Adams' show with Kay Adams on Thursday, NBA star Kevin Durant was asked about Sanders possibly being drafted by the Raiders, and he seemed to be supportive of the idea.

"I could see that connection working, Tom (Brady) and Sheduer," Durant said. "I see Mark Davis saying a little something to Shedeur at the Aces game a couple of weeks ago, Vegas is not too far from Colorado... The Raiders might get a high pick, it's looking like it's lining up man."

The Raiders have started the season just 2-4, leaving a lot to be desired regarding their playoff potential this season. After trading star receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets earlier this week, it now looks even more likely that they'll end up with a high pick.

With that in mind, drafting Sanders looks more realistic as time goes on. Sanders and one of the Raiders' newest owners, Tom Brady, have worked out together before, and Sanders was caught having a discussion with Mark Davis at a Las Vegas Aces game, as Durant alluded to.
