Kim Zolciak is “not happy” that Ariana Biermann blasted her and her now-estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, for stealing her money on Next Gen NYC.

After Ariana, 23, said that the 47-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and 39-year-old former football player had taken an unknown amount from her and that she had no idea what they did with it, a source has suggested that Kim doesn’t understand why her daughter felt the need to out her publicly.

“Airing all this dirty laundry doesn’t make sense to her,” an insider told Us Weekly on July 3. “Kim has been very quiet since her divorce, and she doesn’t like airing her family matters for public consumption. Kim doesn’t understand why she is talking about it.”

During the premiere of Next Gen NYC, Ariana made the shocking claims against Kim and Kroy.

“Unfortunately, my parents took my money,” Ariana revealed on the episode in June. “I can’t say exactly what they used it on, because I just found out that it was gone two years ago. I don’t even know how much money I made over the time period. Nobody was honest. There was no transparency. And I have no idea where it actually went.”

In addition to revealing that the now-ex-couple took money she made as a child, Ariana also shared that they stole from her older sister, Brielle Biermann, 28. However, she also said she had given Kim and Kroy “notice” before speaking of their financial matters on Next Gen NYC. Then, while appearing on Watch What Happens Live at the end of last month, Ariana further explained their money drama.

“The only time my mom asks me for money is if it’s regarding the bills or it’s something that she needs for the kids,” Ariana told host Andy Cohen, 57, adding that her mom pays her back “when she can.”

“Nobody wants to be put in situations that they are put into. My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever,” Ariana said. “Money should never ruin a relationship with your family. You can always make more money, and God blesses us in that way. I have my mom and that’s all that matters.”

Weeks prior, Ariana said she was doing her best to rebuild her financial status.

“I just continue to build up and make my own money, support myself as a 23-year-old and just continue to try to take every opportunity I can to build back up everything,” she told Us Weekly. “I think I’m the [most] financially stable I’ve ever been in my life, which is awesome.”

“My mom’s doing great, too,” she added. “She’s working really hard and has a lot of great things going for her, and my dad’s working too, so everything’s going in the right direction and moving forward.”

Next Gen NYC season one airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
