Kristen Doute offered an update on her friendship with Stassi Schroeder on the latest episode of her shared podcast with her fiance, Luke Broderick.

Weeks after getting engaged, The Valley cast member, 41, revealed if she’d heard from Stassi, 36, following the exciting news as she also revealed where she stands with Brittany Cartwright, 35, after filming the second season of their Vanderpump Rules spinoff. She also offered an update on her efforts to conceive a child with Luke.

“I have not heard from Stassi,” Kristen confirmed on the October 4 episode of Balancing Act. “I think the last time I heard from Stassi would’ve been on her anniversary when I wished her a happy anniversary, and we exchanged some kind words. And that’s kind of it. So I’m okay with that. I have a lot of love for her and for her family, and I think I’ve said that a million times. That’s never gonna change for me. We have a lot of history, and she used to be like a sister to me, so I just wish her the best.”

As for why they’re not as close as they once were, she added, “I just think sometimes friendships don’t last. That’s it. People just grow apart.”

One person she hasn’t grown apart from is Brittany, who filed for divorce from her husband, Jax Taylor, 45, amid production on season two.

When one of her fans wanted to know where she and Brittany stood after the drama of season two, Kristen said, “I can’t answer anything about The Valley, but I will say Brittany is absolutely my best friend in Los Angeles.”

“No matter what happens, if it’s truly your best friend, you’re like family. You figure out ways to work things out,” she noted. “So you guys will just have to watch and see if Brittany and I have any tiffs. Or maybe we don’t.”

Moving on to her baby efforts, Kristen confirmed that despite an online rumor, she did not do an “embryo transfer.”

“We started with IUI … It’s something we chose to try to do before having to go as far as to do IVF. IUI is intrauterine semination. It was a lot of hormones. It was a lot of scans, a lot of ultrasounds. Essentially, rather than getting pregnant the way that we would’ve liked or preferred and tried to do, there is a way for Luke to give a sample of his sperm at our fertility doctor’s office, and then my fertility doctor injects that directly into my cervix,” she explained, signaling the same method Lala Kent, 34, used to conceive her second daughter following a sperm donation.

“According to my doctor, that gives us an extra five percent chance of conceiving. So we kind of said, ‘Why not?’ I know that it’s not a great percentage, but it’s a percentage,” she added.

The Valley season two is expected to begin airing on Bravo later this year or early next year.
