This Valentine’s Day will look much different for Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula.
The Summer House couple confirmed this during a recent interview with The Daily Dish, admitting uncertainty loomed over their holiday plans. Amanda explained she and her hubby typically forgo a gift exchange and instead celebrate Valentine's Day with a romantic dinner; however, they're abandoning that tradition in 2025 as they “will be spending quality time apart.”
But don’t worry: There’s no trouble in paradise. Kyle and Amanda are simply postponing their dinner because the former had a major work commitment.
Kyle explains why he'll be spending Valentine's Day in Philadelphia
“Well I’m hoping she joins me,” Kyle said. “I got asked to DJ a pretty big venue down in Philadelphia called Xfinity Live. Valentine’s Day happens to fall on a Friday this year… You know, nightlife doesn’t stop. And so whether you’re coming as a couple or coming as a single person trying to find love on the dance floor, that’s where I’ll be. And I’m hoping Amanda joins me.”
Amanda said Kyle had approached her about the DJing job before he formally accepted it. And although she gave him her blessing, she insisted she had no intentions of joining him.
“He did ask me ahead of time and checked with me, and I said, 'Fine.' I said, ‘Is the money good?’” she joked. “Then I said, 'But I will not be there and we’ll just celebrate another day.'”
But Kyle refused to give up hope.
“No, you know, she's still on the fence,” he added.
“Maybe I’ll be in the hotel. We can figure it out later,” Amanda said with a laugh.
Amanda prepares to launch her swimwear line
February is looking to be a busy and exciting month for Amanda. In between her creative and branding duties for Kyle’s Loverboy brand, the New Jersey native is preparing to launch her eponymous swimwear line. She announced the venture in August 2024, saying the collection would be available at South Moon Under locations.
Amanda touched on her fashion design aspirations in Summer House Season 8, Episode 10.
“When I was younger, I had big dreams of being a fashion designer,” she said in a confessional. “In high school, I took a fashion design class, but my inability to sew shut down those hopes and dreams. But I can design, and I know what I like, so it just seems like it’s time for me to maybe create my own thing.”
Fast-forward to January 31, when the Hamptons housemate revealed Amanda Batula Swim would officially drop on February 18.
