Kyle Richards defended what she’s shared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as Sutton Stracke signaled double standards and Garcelle Beauvais suggested she leave the show after Tuesday’s new episode.
While Sutton, 53, noted that the cast was not on an even playing field and Garcelle, 58, said it may be time for Kyle, 56, to exit the series, Kyle shaded Sutton’s behavior toward her, explained why she’s kept certain things off-camera amid season 14, and wondered what Garcelle has revealed of her private life.
“The fact that Sutton is coming in and questioning me when she’s the queen of walking out is kind of funny to me,” Kyle admitted on the January 28 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “Sutton, you want to make this about you. You want to have a moment here, fine, have your little moment.”
According to Kyle, Sutton has had plenty of storm-offs herself, including at the Magic Mike show in Las Vegas and during her “ugly leather pants” feud with Crystal Kung-Minkoff, 41.
“She loves to have someone go chase her to stay,” Kyle noted. “[So] I don’t know why she takes such an issue with this and especially [since] I’m apologizing.”
Kyle then reminded viewers that Sutton came into season 14 wanting to be a better friend to her.
“You came into this season saying, ‘I’m really sorry for being a bad friend to you, I apologize for not supporting you last year. I want to be a better friend.’ And now you’re mad at me for walking out of Boz’s. Who are you defending? [Dorit Kemsley], who you don’t even like?” she wondered.
“I have shown my life for 14 years, my relationships with both of my sisters, there’s nothing I’ve said, ‘We can’t show this or talk about this’ in these 14 years. This season I came in with my hands tied behind my back a bit because there was some things that I was asked not to address that affected other people,” she continued, seemingly of rumored girlfriend Morgan Wade, 30. “If it’s just about me, I’m happy to talk about anything in my life. I would love to, actually.”
Kyle went on to say that she didn’t understand why Garcelle felt that she was hiding things.
“Where are you coming from right now? What are we seeing from your life? What are we actually seeing?” she asked her co-star.
As for Sutton, she recalled Kyle calling her out for storming out before she did the same at Bozoma Saint John‘s soiree.
“I have been in many situations in the past where I’ve wanted to leave and Kyle specifically has stopped me from leaving and told me, like, ‘Suck it up,’” she stated. “But you get to run out in a robe, out on the street, you can’t even take time to put your clothes on, so I was a bit iffy. We’re asking questions, rightfully so, and then she’s so upset, pitches a fit.”
“I didn’t think it was fair. I didn’t feel like Kyle lives on the same plane as the rest of us,” she added.
Also on the RHOBH: After Show, after Jennifer Tilly, 66, described Kyle as “very guarded” and accused her of trying to protect her friendship with Morgan and failing to get into what’s going on between her and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, 54, Garcelle suggested Kyle leave the show.
“Even before I joined the group, I know Kyle to be the one to open up and share. And listen, she’s been on for 14 seasons. She’s shared a lot of her life, a lot of her life, but if you no longer want to show a certain part, then you gotta leave,” she declared.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
