Kyle Richards is "proud" of how she and Mauricio Umansky have handled their separation.

Kyle Richards Explains Why She Separated from Husband Mauricio Umansky

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, who has been separated from The Agency founder since the summer of 2023, shared new details about their post-split relationship during a recent Amazon Live stream.

When asked if she has a "good relationship" with her estranged husband these days, Kyle responded, "Yes, we do."

"We get along great. Grateful for that," she continued on the September 24 livestream. "I’m very proud [of] how we’ve navigated through that."

During a prior Amazon Live stream in late August, Kyle noted that she and Mauricio were on very cordial terms.

"We get along very well. There’s no arguing or anything like that. There never was," she said. "I mean, it's still the same."

Are Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky divorced?

More than a year after separating, Kyle and Mauricio are still legally married. Neither Mauricio nor Kyle has made a step towards filing for divorce, though Mauricio did move out of their family home in Encino.

In December 2023, Kyle shed some light on why the two weren't in a rush to finalize their split.

"We haven’t spoken about [divorce] yet..." she told The Messenger. "No, that has not come up yet. Obviously, we know that it is potentially something that could happen with us. We just haven’t gone that route yet."

Do Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have a prenup?

As Kyle has confirmed, the pair did not sign a prenuptial agreement before exchanging vows in January 1996. In the years since Kyle and Mauricio got married, Mauricio started The Agency, and Kyle has taken on a number of acting and producing roles. The two also own several properties together.

"We did not have a prenup. My husband did not have a penny when I married him…" Kyle explained about why they didn't sign anything before they got married during an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live in January 2024. "He was in the clothing business when I met him, making no money."

The diamond holder said that the couple "built everything together" in the years since they tied the knot.

"He didn’t have any money when I married him and it’s our money," she added. "Let’s be very clear about that. It’s [a] very clean cut. Everything is half regardless."
