Lala Kent's family has found safety in the desert amid the ongoing devastating Los Angeles fires.
The Vanderpump Rules alum—who is mom to daughters Ocean, 3, and 4-month-old Sosa—revealed she and her kids recently fled their L.A.-area home due to the poor air quality caused by the multiple wildfires blazing across Southern California.
“This morning Sosa woke up and was really struggling to breathe," the Bravo star wrote on her Instagram Stories Jan. 9. "I made the decision to pack my family up and come to Palm Springs, strictly based on the air quality. This is where we will stay until LA is safe again."
The 34-year-old went on to call the fires—which have burned tens of thousands of acres across L.A. County and left thousands without homes—"one of the most devastating situations I have ever seen."
"At this point, if you were not directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything," Lala continued. "My heart is shattered for my community. Neighborhoods that people have called home for decades, now nonexistent."
Lala insisted that she's "trying to feel grateful" that she, Ocean and Sosa—whom she shares with ex Randall Emmett—were not directly affected by the ongoing blazes, but noted, "It's hard because of what I'm seeing other people go through. In times like this all you want is to go home for comfort, and 1,000s of people don't have their safe place anymore."
The Bravolebrity concluded with, "All I want to do is say thank you to our firefighters and first responders. Our cities heroes. And to everyone affected—I know you feel alone. You are not alone."
A bevy of Hollywood stars have fallen victim to the devastation brought on by unprecedented winds and subsequent wildfires in the area.
Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Mel Gibson, Billy Crystal, Melissa Rivers and James Woods have all spoken out this week after learning their residences are no longer standing, while celebs including Jennie Garth, Jessica Simpson and Alabama Barker are just some of the many residents who were evacuated.
