Las Vegas Raiders Defensive End Arrested for DUI

On Tuesday, Las Vegas defensive end Charles Snowden was arrested after authorities received a report of a "suspicious vehicle" in the southwest valley of Las Vegas on Rainbow Boulevard near Sunset Road. 

The charge is a misdemeanor for a first offense DUI involving alcohol and/or a controlled or prohibited substance. Snowden last suited up on Sunday afternoon in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording just one tackle in the game.

An undrafted free-agent that signed with the Chicago Bears in 2021 following the conclusion of the NFL Draft, he made his professional debut on December 11th of that season against the Green Bay Packers after being promoted to the team's active roster. 

After a short stint on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad in 2022, Snowden signed with the Raiders ahead of the 2024 season and was promoted to the active roster on September 7th. In 13 games, the third-year player from the University of Virginia has played significant snaps on defense, recording 30 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 3 pass deflections.

As a junior at Virginia, Snowden earned honorable mention All-ACC honors after recording 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, and 11 quarterback hurries. Despite an ankle injury that cut his senior season short, he started eight games and was named second-team All-ACC, leading the Cavaliers in sacks.
