Maxx Crosby is one of the best to ever wear silver and black. He's not the best, and he won't be until he wins a Super Bowl, probably. And, that could never happen, who knows? But, he is certainly one of the best defenders to ever wear the shield. And, on Sunday, he moved up to the top of a very important list in Las Vegas Raiders franchise history.
The Raiders haven't really put great teams around Maxx Crosby. He's pretty much been the only constant on this team since he's been a part of the Raiders, and that's pretty sad to say. But, what he has done, despite being on bad teams, has been amazing. And despite the loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, he had a great game.
Crosby finished with five tackles and three tackles for loss. He had a great day. But he also reached the top of a franchise history list that may not get beaten for decades. Here is everything the Raiders PR team tweeted out about Crosby's big day:
DE Maxx Crosby notches his 100th career tackle for loss. Crosby is now one of four players in NFL history (since at least 1999) to reach 100 tackles for loss in his first six NFL seasons, joining J.J. Watt (133), Aaron Donald (117), and DeMarcus Ware (101). Crosby reaches 100 career tackles for loss in his 93rd career game, tying Von Miller (93 games) as the third-fastest player since 2000 to reach 100 career tackles for loss, trailing only J.J. Watt (64) and Aaron Donald (81). DE Maxx Crosby has now notched his 26th game with multiple tackles for loss, the second most in the NFL since 2019 - only behind T.J. Watt (28).
Crosby is also 47th all-time in tackles for loss, with the ability to move into the mid-30s or even better by the end of the year. The most all-time is 202 by Terrell Suggs, and at this point, that seems very doable by Maxx Crosby. The guy is a machine, and when he gets a good team put around him, on both sides of the ball, will be even better.
Crosby's drive will only propel him to be even better every year. Crosby and the Raiders have a tough schedule coming up. They play the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Chargers.
