Las Vegas Raiders dodge a bullet but need a new plan fast before they face the Baltimore Ravens

Las Vegas Raiders vs Baltimore Ravens | Week 2 Preview

The Las Vegas Raiders just dodged a bullet at the best time considering what they have going on around them. They get great news, but they still need a new plan fast before their second game against a great Baltimore Ravens team.

Against the Los Angeles Chargers, where they lost their first game of the year, they also lost their second-year defensive end Tyree Wilson, who left the game early with a knee issue.

This was huge because they were already without their starting defensive end across from Maxx Crosby. Before the game, a few days prior actually, it was well known that edge rusher Malcolm Koonce, who finished with eight sacks last season, was going to miss Week 1 after a practice incident. He was then placed on IR, meaning he will not be able to play until Week 5, against the Denver Broncos.

So, Charles Snowden, an original practice squad player, had to fill in, and it was very noticeable. It left the Raiders with just three players at the defensive end position on the active roster. So, they have to do something now, and, from what we have heard, they will.

But the good news we've gotten is regarding Tyree Wilson and the injury he sustained.

According to Ian Rappoport of NFL Network, Wilson just sustained a knee sprain and is not expected to be out long-term.

However, they still need to sign someone. Maybe Yannick Ngakoue?
