Las Vegas Raiders get mixed news after the first practice of Week 2 before their matchup with the Ravens

Las Vegas Raiders open 8.5 point underdogs in Week 2 vs. Ravens - Silver And Black Pride

The Las Vegas Raiders got some mixed news on Wednesday after their first practice of the week, preparing for the Baltimore Ravens. After a tough loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, it feels like the Raiders have a different mindset going into this game, but their injury report may not help their game.

The Ravens are good, despite having the same record as the Raiders. They just so happen to run into a team in the Kansas City Chiefs who look like they could very well go for that three-peat. So, the Raiders will have to be at their best.

On Wednesday, they got their first injury report, and, it gave them some good and bad news.

Raiders Wednesday injury report

Let's start with the good:

Rookie offensive guard Jackson Powers-Johnson is back practicing Wednesday and was limited. Here is what Pierce had to say about JPJ before practice on Wednesday:

"He'll be active," Pierce said. "How many practices has he had? Today, he'll be out there at practice, so that's step one."

Jackson Powers-Johnson missed virtually all of training camp and preseason but was lifted off of the PUP list before Week 1. He's almost ready, but he's not quite there yet, it sounds like.

Now for the bad news, which is much worse than the good.

Tyree Wilson will likely be inactive on Sunday against the Ravens.

"Yeah, it's still not looking good," Pierce continued. "We'll know probably later on this week, but not looking good."

The Raiders signed defensive end formerly on the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers, K'Lavon Chaisson to help Charles Snowden and Janarius Robinson fill in the void on the edge.

Rookie cornerback Decamerion Richardson did not practice on Wednesday due to a hamstring and was an inactive against the Chargers. You have to think the only reason he didn't play was because he just wasn't healthy enough to go.
