Las Vegas Raiders spent one of their last pre-draft visits meeting with an FCS stud who could have played for a blue-blood program

Raiders still land franchise QB despite recent wins in 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Las Vegas Raiders, with the No. 6 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, have been linked to Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty to boost their league-worst rushing attack.

Of course, they could also take a cornerback after Jack Jones’ release or even Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders as a future signal-caller. However, uncertainty surrounding veteran tackle Kolton Miller could shift their focus to the offensive line. With the past of the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we know how the two decision-makers in Pete Carroll and John Spytek want their team to be -- violent and physical.

Miller, a 2018 first-round pick and one of the last Oakland Raiders alongside Maxx Crosby, is a key offensive tackle at 29 years old. He’s seeking a contract extension but, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, has not started talks with the Raiders and is skipping voluntary offseason workouts.

Miller’s performance has declined recently; injuries limited him to 11 starts in 13 games in 2023, and in 2024, he and right tackle D.J. Glaze ranked among the top ten in blown blocks, contributing to the Raiders allowing the fifth-most sacks in the NFL.

Instead of Jeanty, the Raiders could target Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou, widely considered the top tackle in the 2025 draft class. Membou, a dominant 6’4”, 332-pound blocker, allowed just one sack in 2024 and brings power and quickness ideal for protecting Geno Smith and opening running lanes.

With Miller’s future uncertain and the offensive line struggling, drafting a guy like Membou at No. 6 could provide long-term stability over a running back like Jeanty, who’d need better blocking to succeed.

Or, the Raiders could still take Jeanty and take a tackle on Day 2. I mean, they are interested in at least one guy who would be available on Day 2. If they weren't interested in him, they wouldn't have used one of their very last pre-draft visits on the guy.

Raiders visit with William & Mary OT Charles Grant

Charles Grant, an offensive tackle from the College of William & Mary, is a 2025 NFL Draft prospect that the Raiders just met with this week. A three-year starter at left tackle, he made 41 career starts, including 36 consecutive, and earned Consensus All-America First Team honors in his 2024 senior season. Grant excels in pass protection, allowing just two sacks over his final three seasons, thanks to his athleticism, long arms, and strong hand technique.

At 21, Grant has starter potential but needs to add size to compete consistently at the NFL level. His FCS background raises some concerns, but his athleticism, arm length, and experience make him a projected third- or fourth-round pick. And, he likely could have played for a blue-blood program last season.

The Raiders allowed the fifth most sacks last year and had the worst running game by a wide margin in 2024. They better add some players to their offense line. If not, they could be in trouble. Grant is a guy that can help right away and develop into something special.
