“Teen Mom” star Leah Messer shared some exciting news about her 15-year-old daughter, Ali, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Corey Simms.
On December 24, Messer took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that Ali got her driver’s permit. She captioned the post by congratulating her daughter.
“Congratulations @aliannahsimms YOU DID IT!” wrote Messer.
On December 13, Ali’s grandfather, Jeff Simms, let his Instagram followers know that he was teaching her how to drive.
“Ali is learning to drive! #aligrace,” wrote Simms in the post’s caption.

A screenshot of Messer’s Instagram Story was uploaded on the “Teen Mom” subreddit on Reddit. Several fans commented that they felt old knowing Ali was old enough to start driving.
“I can not believe these kids are old enough to drive 😭,” wrote a commenter.
“Yay Ali! This makes me feel so old 😩,” added another.
“Nope. I refuse to be this old. This is a technical error!” wrote a Reddit user.
“All these ‘teen mom’ kids have grown so much…..went from watching the episodes of them literally being born, to seeing them in HS, getting permits, looking into colleges etc. Crazy work 😭,” shared a different person.
Leah Messer Spoke About Filming ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ Season 2 With Her 3 Daughters
While speaking to People magazine in May 2024, Messer discussed filming with Ali, her twin sister, Aleeah, and their younger sister, Adalynn, for “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” season 2. She noted that fans got to see candid conversations she had with her daughters.
“I think this season, you also see all the talks I’ve had with my daughters over the years coming together, in a sense, and we see what they believe in and how they use their voices,” said Messer to the publication. “You’ll see why I had all those hard, maybe sometimes cringy conversations with them. I think it’s opened the door for them to have any conversation with me now in their teenage years, which I think is vital.”
According to the trailer for “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” season 3, which Messer uploaded on her Instagram account, her eldest daughters will appear in the show’s upcoming episodes. The trailer showed Ali and Adalynn posing in dresses.
In the post’s caption, Messer noted that the “Teen Mom” franchise premiered in 2009.
