“Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” star Leah Messer is opening up about her relationships with her ex-husbands, Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms.
While speaking to OK! Magazine in February 2025, Messer said that she and her ex-husbands “are cordial” for the sake of their children. Simms is the father of Messer’s 15-year-old twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah. Messer shares her 11-year-old daughter, Addie, with Calvert.
“We do what’s best for the kids at the end of the day. That’s gonna be my focus, always. As long as my kids are good, we’re good. If there’s ever something that comes up, we kind of communicate that and we move however is needed,” said Messer to the publication.
OK! Magazine reported that “Messer filed a protective order against Jeremy Calvert in late 2023.” During a May 2024 interview with the publication, Messer explained why she decided to do so.
“Jeremy and I are cordial right now. I think that him coming to my job and harassing me and propelling me to have to take legal action was alarming. It was scary. But I think we’re in an OK place,” said Simms during the interview.
Leah Messer Spoke About Her Love Life in September 2023
During a September 2023 interview with E! News, Messer said she was not focused on dating following her 2022 split from her ex-fiance, Jaylan Mobley.
“I don’t want any distractions right now. I’m just trying to make money, okay? And raise my daughters,” said Messer to E! News.
She also said she “needed that breakup.”
“I’ve learned a lot from my last breakup and, moving forward, I do feel like my life is just beginning,” said Messer to the publication.
While speaking to E! News, Messer lovingly spoke about her daughters.
“I’m looking at a complete, better version of myself. And seeing everything that they love and enjoy doing, and being able to support them in their lives and be a part of it is magical,” said Messer.
Leah Messer Spoke About Her Daughter’s Muscular Dystrophy in January 2025
During a January 2025 interview with TooFab, Messer spoke about trying to help Ali with her muscular dystrophy. She said that the situation has been “a challenge” because Ali disagrees with her mother about her wheelchair use.
“Probably one of the hardest things I’ve gone through this far with being a mom and navigating her having muscular dystrophy. And knowing how to keep her safe, and also allowing her to be independent and get around just like everyone else. … There’s no really no answers,” said Messer during the interview.
