LeBron James' Opinion of Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Couldn't Be Clearer

Wild Card Weekend of the NFL playoffs has wrapped up, and the Divisional Round matchups have been set.

Arguably the most anticipated game of the quarterfinals goes to the Buffalo Bills vs. the Baltimore Ravens. This matchup brings us a battle of two elite quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, both of whom are considered the top two MVP candidates.

But Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James seems to think there is another quarterback in the NFL that is better than Allen and Jackson.

In an interview with DraftKings, James discussed who the GOAT (Greatest of All-Time) quarterback is and proceeded to mention Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' legacy.

"I think Pat Mahomes is obviously one of the greatest to ever play the sport," James said. "He can do everything. He can throw the ball in the pocket. He can go three-step drops. He can go five-step drops. He can roll out on scrambles and make passes. He can throw a sidearm. He can throw across body. An NFL rule is don't throw across the field or throw across your body. He's an exception to the rule because of how great he is."

James then went on to talk about the similarities between his and Mahomes' first seven seasons, giving a shoutout to NFL legend Tom Brady as well.

"I think the best parallel I can think between Pat Mahomes and myself in our first seven years is that we just change the way we kind of view the game," James added. "He's doing a hell of a lot better than I did in my first seven years. He got what three chips already? You wouldn't be wrong if you said Pat Mahomes was No. 1 for greatest quarterbacks of all time. You wouldn't be wrong if you said [Tom] Brady."

James, 40, knows a thing or two about greatness. In his long NBA career, the Lakers star has won four NBA Finals, four NBA MVP awards and four NBA Finals MVPs. He also owns the record for most points in league history.

Mahomes, on the other hand, is looking to win his third straight Super Bowl and his fourth overall. The Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
