So far, season 9 of Summer House has maintained the momentum from the previous installment. Much of this has to do with the old drama being put to rest, but newcomer Lexi Wood is also adding quite a bit to the hit Bravo series. Now, she’s opening up about bonding with Lindsay Hubbard from day one, how she would handle her first season better if she could turn back time, watching Jesse Solomon‘s true feelings about her play out on the show, and more.
Regarding Lexi, she and Jesse hit it off fairly early when the cameras were up for Season 9. However, this has caused some friction with her other castmates, as well as between the two of them.
Recently, Lexi sat down for an interview with Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. The hosts started by asking how it feels to watch the summer back and see all that she wasn’t privy to while filming, especially when it comes to Jesse.
She responded, “I think that’s the main thing. I genuinely had no idea. Like to my face, he was fabulous. We hung out so much during the week. He would call me even like the weekend of the toe. He called me like 38 times that weekend. I really had no idea.”
She went on to discuss her experiences with Jesse by saying, “Obviously, like, I’m a girl, like hearing that sounds like it feels really good. And I think my feelings were always trying to speed up to his.”
They went on to discuss the topic of Lexi meeting his family despite their courtship being so new. Specifically, this is after the hosts bring up how he seemed to be against the idea despite him calling her and being so talkative.
According to Lexi, “That entire thing, he had asked me before he even met my family to meet his because he knew when his mom was coming into town, and his dad because it was for her birthday. So it was always a plan until he called me the morning of and was like, Ciara thinks that you shouldn’t meet my family. I was like, ‘Well, do you want me to meet your family?’ He was like, ‘yeah.’ I was like, okay, so am I meeting your family?”
Regarding Ciara Miller, the Summer House newbie admitted, “I honestly don’t even know if that was real. Considering a lot of other things that he said behind my back weren’t real. So I would just think that maybe that there was like some other lies and manipulation that was going on.”
In terms of how she finally started opening up to the ladies about her status with Jesse, she revealed, “It was difficult because then by that point, him and I had already been together for a month, hanging out so much, living together, doing so much, he was moving for me, he wanted to get a cat together, all of this stuff. So by the time all of this was going down, I’m so aware of being like, okay, well, if he’s saying all this stuff to me, and everybody, let’s be honest, everybody loves his attention, maybe it’s not as sinister as I feel in my tummy. So yeah, I think I was just, I was always at a state of confusion.”
When asked if she wished she had done anything differently, she said, “Yeah, for sure. I think for me, I wish that I had more knowledge of what was going on in my life. And the knowledge that everybody else had, because I think I definitely would have made more informed decisions based on what was being said behind my back.”
She then said, “I really hope as a human, you can respect that and you put trust into that. And I think anyone would put trust into the person that is confessing his love for her every day.”
Upon hearing this, the hosts then bring up Lindsay because they think she is someone who would have great insight to share with Lexi. Speaking of her experience with the new mother, Lexi revealed, “Oh, Lindsay is always my, she’s been my girl since day one. I feel like as soon as I walked in that house, Lindsay was so maternal with me. Like, I feel like she was just so warm, so like we were always hugging. She was so good.”
