Lindsay Arnold Reveals Which Hollywood Couple She Would Like to See on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (Exclusive)

The former pro shares who she'd like to see in the ballroom this fall for the ABC dance competition and her partnership with Hallmark.

Dancing with the Stars alum Lindsay Arnold still very much keeps her eye on what’s happening in the dance competition each season, especially since her sister Rylee Arnold, who began on Dancing with the Stars Juniors, is now competing at the adult level.

Rylee was on hand at the "Hulu Get Real" event when Robert Irwin was announced as the first celebrity contestant headed to the ballroom for Season 34, and the two made an adorable pair. So the thought crossed Lindsay’s mind that the two might make a good team.

“I would love to see that,” Lindsay told Parade. “Robert has been someone who’s been on my list of 'he needs to be on the show for a while' now. His personality, the fact that his older sister Bindi did it, and he got to watch her, so he understands what it takes to do the show. I think whoever gets him is going to be in really good shape, and, of course, I hope that Rylee would get that opportunity.  I think they would be such a fun pairing together, so I would love to see it."

Another fun pairing that Lindsay would love to see is Tay Lautner and Taylor Lautner.

“I love them as a couple, I think they’re so fun,” she says. “They’ve done a couple of interviews with people from the show. I know they did a podcast with Val [Chmerkovskiy] and Jenna [Johnson Chmerkovskiy], and I think a husband-wife dynamic where they’re both competing is always so much fun.”

Lindsay comes up short when asked who else. She adds that it’s always great to have a fun reality TV show personality, but she’s been so busy, she hasn’t had time to watch a lot of other television, except for The White Lotus.

One of the things she’s been busy with is her Mother’s Day partnership with Hallmark to share her ideas for putting all the special moms in her life 'center stage' with thoughtful greeting cards and gifts.

“When it comes to gift giving, I feel I try to be very sentimental with the gifts that I give, because those are the gifts that mean the most to me,” she says. “I would rather have my daughters draw me or paint me a beautiful picture and scribble their love on a card for me than get any sort of thing. And so I love that Hallmark just supports those thoughtful gifts.”

Lindsay remembers that the first time she could drive a car to actually go buy her mother a Mother’s Day gift, it included a Hallmark greeting card. With this partnership, she feels she's come full circle.

Her personal plans for Mother’s Day include family. Her immediate family – husband Sam Cusick and daughters Sage and June – but also extended family.

“We’re not going to be anywhere, we’re going to be home, which is honestly so special to me,” says Lindsay, who just got done traveling to New York, Arizona and Hawaii. “We always start our morning with a close family breakfast, so just me, Sam, and the girls. And both Sam and my family are within 10 minutes of our home, so we definitely go and visit all the other mother figures in our lives and it’s just so fun. Quality family time is my favorite thing to have on Mother’s Day.”

And once Mother’s Day is over, Lindsay wouldn’t mind expanding her connection with Hallmark by starring in a Hallmark movie.

“Oh, my gosh, I would love that,” Lindsay says. “I think that’d be so fun. I think my mom would probably never be prouder of me than if she got to watch me in a Hallmark movie, because those are her favorite.”
