Lindsay Hubbard SHOCKS Fans With Bombshell About Carl Radke’s Soft Bar: “It Was Never About the Drinks”

   

Lindsay Hubbard made it clear on Summer House Season 9 that she'd rather watch the paint dry in her baby’s nursery than attend ex-fiancé Carl Radke's Soft Bar friends and family event in New Jersey. Her stance might, well, soften, when the concept bar officially opens in New York City, though.

"I mean, does he even have a lease now?" she wondered in the above Summer House After Show clip, following Episode 8 (Spoiler alert: He does). "I don't know. I unsubscribed to those emails. Like, I don't need spam emails. Like, does he have a location and a date?"

When a producer gave her the scoop that Carl is planning to open Soft Bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, by summer 2025, Lindsay replied, "Oh, great, good for him. Invite me to that."

Would Lindsay actually visit Carl’s Soft Bar, though? "Yes, just to be like, 'Finally, you actually did something that you said you would do,'" she said. "I will be there with, like, a sign that's like, "Congratulations, Carlito! You did it!" You did the one thing that you talked about doing."

Elsewhere on the Summer House After Show, Carl, who ended their engagement in September 2023, said "it'd be great" if Lindsay came to his non-alcoholic concept bar, insisting, "The doors will always be open for her."

Even so, he's managing expectations. "Um, do I think she will come? I don't think so," Carl admitted. "I mean, is she gonna be, ya know, investing in Soft Bar? No. But if, at some point, she wants to stop by and check it out, I would love that. But, ya know, it is what it is."

Kyle Cooke has "high hopes" that Carl and Lindsay can be friends again

Kyle Cooke, for his part, thinks a "full-circle moment" is still in the cards for them, though, pointing out the fact that Lindsay "indirectly" wished Carl a happy 40th birthday in the comments section of his social media tribute post. He didn't see it though because "she does have Carl blocked," Kyle explained on the After Show.

"I think that was a great step in the right direction of them somehow rekindling. So, I wouldn't put anything past these two," he added. "I have high hopes that they’ll continue to make amends and continue to appreciate that things happen for a reason, and it wasn't meant to be."

Lindsay also revealed on the After Show why she skipped Carl's garden party in the Garden State, despite him extending her an invitation. "Number one, why am I gonna go to New Jersey for a bar that you're opening in Brooklyn?" she asked.

While FaceTiming with Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller on Episode 8, Lindsay spilled more details. "I unfortunately have prior engagements," she joked. "I have to paint my walls and then watch the paint dry."

When Paige and Ciara arrived at the event, however, they simply told Carl, "Lindsay sends you her well wishes."

Later, at the group’s kickball game back in NYC, Lindsay spilled the real tea to Gabby Prescod, though.

"There's a lot of reasons why I didn't go, but most of which, I've already wasted so much time on this man," she confessed. "I'm not gonna waste two hours there, two hours back, for something that's not even opening. Like, I don't need to, once again, celebrate you talking about doing something in the future. No. Like, it's still an inaction… and he wasted more money. It's just like, I can't."
