Logan Paul has a potential boxing opponent waiting in the wings for his comeback fight.
It’s been almost two full years since Logan Paul last entered the boxing ring, defeating Dillon Danis by disqualification. Despite his success in WWE and other ventures, Paul still wants to compete in the boxing ring. He was reportedly in talks to face UFC superstar Conor McGregor earlier this year before negotiations fell apart.
Logan and his brother, Jake, have successfully disrupted the boxing world and brought a new audience to the ‘sweet science’. Jake has headlined some of the biggest cards in recent boxing history, including his unprecedented showdown with heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in November.
Outside of combat sports, Paul has continued his strong branding with several businesses, including his PRIME energy drink company. But soccer legend Lionel Messi’s drink, MAS, has irked Paul in recent months as he’s alleged that Messi has copied the PRIME brand.

Logan Paul/Lionel Messi beef intensifies as bodyguard calls for boxing match
Messi, who currently plays for Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF in the United States, is one of the most famous athletes in the world. Whatever he touches, whether it’s a business or an athletic venture, there are a lot of eyes on him and his team.
After Paul accused Messi and his team of plagiarizing his PRIME brand, it didn’t take long for Messi’s team to respond, and it wasn’t the response most expected.
During a recent Instagram video post, Messi’s bodyguard Yassine Cheuko called for a fight with Paul.
“Listen, Logan, I’m doing this video because a lot of people, they stop me on the street,” Cheuko said to Paul. “They send me messages, I get a lot of comments on Instagram about this fight.
“So now, the reverse is broken. There is no way out. Let’s do the fight for the people. Let’s do it!”

Cheuko’s social media accounts point to combat sports experience, but there’s no official record of him competing in either the ring or the cage online. Cheuko is a former U.S. Navy SEAL and has been in Messi’s corner throughout his career.
As of this writing, Paul hasn’t responded to Cheuko’s callout.

Logan Paul called out for fight after Conor McGregor negotiations were thwarted by the UFC
Paul is 1-1 in his professional boxing career, with the Danis victory being his lone win in the ring. Before that, he lost to fellow social media star KSI by split decision in 2019.
Paul faced off with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition in 2021, with the fight going the full distance. The non-scored bout was viewed by millions around the world.
Danis accused Paul of sabotaging a potential UFC signing before he agreed to an MMA contract with the Global Fight League. Danis is scheduled to make his promotional debut later this year against former UFC titleholder Tony Ferguson.
Paul and McGregor were reportedly in advanced stages of negotiations to fight before UFC CEO Dana White disapproved of McGregor pursuing the bout. McGregor hasn’t fought in combat sports since injuring his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
Logan’s brother, Jake, was close to securing a showdown with Canelo Alvarez before Riyadh Season and Turki Alalshikh signed Alvarez to a multi-fight contract. As of this writing, Jake remains unbooked for his next professional boxing match.
As for Cheuko and Messi, it remains to be seen if Cheuko’s boxing callout will be addressed, although tensions with Paul and his team remain thick.
