Finding the perfect match takes hard work, and many Love Is Blind stars have been candid about the importance of intimacy.
Love Is Blind, which premiered its first season in February 2020, follows a group of singletons attempting to find everlasting love — sight unseen — in pods. The Netflix series features prospective couples getting deep right off the bat to test compatibility.
“I actually really love the Calvin Klein underwear for women [and seeing] someone walking around the house all day just rocking those,” Kwame Appiah confessed to Chelsea Griffin in season 4. “[I’ll be] biting my lip, thinking about how you look. Mmm! … Obviously, the concept here of love being blind, we want to get to know each other [by] who we are on the inside, [but] what I hope that does is nurture what we see outside as well. The only reason I want to put my hands all over your body is because, essentially, I feel like I have myself all over your soul.”
Kwame and Chelsea eventually got married, and they are hardly the only Love Is Blind favorites to be vocal about their sex lives.
Despite Alexa’s concerns about her and Brennon’s brief romp, they’ve since found their groove. The Texas-based pair told Us Weekly in February 2023 that they are “working and twerking” on conceiving a baby. Daughter Vienna was born the next year.

Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers (Season 1)
Love Is Blind season 1, which was filmed in 2018, saw now-exes Giannina and Damian propose to each other through the pod walls. After the pair took their budding romance into the outside world, the business owner notably expressed concern over their sex life.
“You know how you tell me this is the best sex of your life? Have you noticed that I don’t return the compliment? I don’t say it’s the best sex of my life, too,” Giannina yelled at her former fiancé from the kitchen, while he was alone in the bedroom. “It’s great but it’s not f–king mind-blowing.”
She added: “Why don’t you initiate it? Why don’t you seduce me, even though I jump on you every freaking second? Why don’t you just look at me and take it. I do not understand. Why can’t you just seduce me?”
Damian ultimately said “I don’t” on their wedding day, but they reconciled several hours later to continue dating. They split for good in 2021 after he was linked to Too Hot to Handle’s Francesca Farago. Giannina, for her part, moved on with Bachelor Nation’s Blake Horstmann.
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett (Season 1)
During a March 2020 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Amber revealed that her spouse gave her a lap dance during their wedding reception, which aired in the first season finale. She also dropped a major revelation about their sex life during the interview. “[We had sex] at our wedding venue,” she said at the time, blushing.
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton (Season 1)
Lauren and Cameron also admitted to Ellen DeGeneres in March 2020 that they had sex in public — “at a park in the rain.”
The Leap of Faith coauthors have since shared additional sex confessions in their joint memoir and on their “Hanging With the Hamiltons” YouTube channel.
“We know that relationships have this sort of honeymoon phase in the beginning where you can’t keep your hands off of each other and then they sort of mature over time, so it takes a lot of work to keep that spark going and keep things passionate,” the AI scientist said in a February 2023 YouTube video. “My opinion is that you should talk to your partner and be like, ‘Hey, what do you think about our sex life [and] are there things that you want to do that we haven’t done before?’”
Lauren praised her husband for being “very direct” and bold with his communication.
Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson (Season 2)
After Nick got engaged to Danielle in the Chicago-set season, he was admittedly flustered when his soon-to-be mother-in-law, Wendy Ruhl, noticed the “hard hickey” that was “very evident” on his neck during their sit-down. Nick turned red after she pointed to the mark in question.
While Nick and Danielle tied the knot during the season 2 finale, they separated one year later in August 2022. The associate marketing director later revealed via her Instagram Story that they split over “personality compatibility differences.”
Alexa Alfia and Brennon Lemieux (Season 3)
Alexa confessed to her fellow Love Is Blind season 3 brides that Brennon was a “2-minute guy” after they had sex for the first time. Their intimate encounters have since improved, with Alexa even hinting that her man was well-endowed during an Instagram Story Q&A after their season wrapped.
Andrew Liu (Season 3)
“The best sex that I've ever had has been transcendental,” Andrew revealed to Nancy Rodriguez, who rejected his marriage proposal in favor of now-ex Bartise Bowden, in the season 3 pods. “You sort of sync up with the other person. I can feel the pleasure that you're feeling as I bring you pleasure, and vice versa.”
Kwame Appiah and Chelsea Griffin (Season 4)
Kwame and Chelsea bonded in the pods about seeking a “spiritual” connection during sex. “If we’re married, we’re not having sex — we’re making love,” he said during a pod date during episode 1. “It is everything and more. It feels sacred.”
After their engagement and they met face-to-face, the pair were quick to take their bond to the next level. Chelsea even told her fellow brides that she was “f—king wrecked” the next morning as Kwame praised their antics to the other men. The athlete jokingly quipped that his fiancée was “very physical.”
Izzy Zapata (Season 5)
Izzy, who got engaged to Stacy Snyder on season 5 when Love Is Blind went to Houston, revealed in October 2023 that the cast had a “sex day” in the pods to disclose their preferences.
“I don’t even think there would be an ‘out there’ question ‘cause I’m just an open book [and] I don’t care, but after a couple of days, we do get [to] the fun day, [which] was like the sex day,” Izzy recalled on the “Viall Files” podcast. “Through the process, [producers] give us guidance on what to talk about, like one day will be finances, one day will be like values [and] families and one day there’s sex.”
He continued: “It’s a time to get to know one another in terms of kinks, lights on [or] lights off and yeah. Some of the girls are curious, I will say, [but] we’d have a little bit of help along the way,” Izzy said, noting he was specifically asked about his kinks. “[I said,] ‘I like to get spit in my mouth.’ It’s honestly kind of hot. There’s a time and a place and a way to do it. A lot of people think it’s like hocking a loogie; you’ve gotta be in the moment, nice and slow.”
Johnny McIntyre (Season 6)
Johnny proposed to Amy Cortés during season 6, which aired in February 2024. After they met in person, they decided to wait to have sex since she wasn’t taking birth control medication. Johnny was the driving force behind the choice because he wanted to be more financially stable before having a baby.
“[It] was a really big thing that we talked about multiple times,” Johnny exclusively told Us. “We wanted to make sure we’re on the same page. Me really not knowing a lot about birth control, contraceptives, things of that nature made it difficult to really have a good conversation right away because I was uninformed.”
Stephen Richardson and Monica Davis (Season 7)
After Stephen and Monica met in person, they wasted no time expressing their physical attraction for one another. At one point in their Cabo San Lucas hotel room, Stephen quipped that he “really” wanted to take off Monica’s halter top.
“If she wants to have sex tonight, I’m good to go,” he said in a confessional for an episode that aired in October 2024. “I’m waxed and everything, baby. Full Brazilian, let’s go!”
Ramses Prashad and Marissa George (Season 7)
Ramses and Marissa also consummated their relationship shortly after meeting in person during season 7. In a debriefing moment, they concurred that their encounter was “pretty great.”
“The sex is good,” Marissa later revealed via confessional. “We’re getting married. We’re engaged. Engaged people have sex. It is what it is.”
