We've finally reached the weddings on Season 1 of Love Is Blind: Germany. With three couples headed to their ceremonies, who will end up going all the way with their commitment?
Hanni And Daniel Make Their Decisions
We pick up just as Hanni is about to walk down the aisle to Daniel, who crosses himself before she enters. When she makes it to the altar, Daniel tells her that she looks stunning, and she seems visibly nervous. As their ceremony begins, Hanni kicks it off with some vows of her own:
Love is cohesion, standing up for and being there for one another. Love means you never feel lonely, even when you're on your own. For me, love is the feeling you've given me since the first time we met.
She goes on to say that she loves the way Daniel has accepted both her good and bad traits, and that she thinks of him as "her biggest supporter." When it's his turn, Daniel says he loves the way that Hanni stands up for what she believes in, and that he plans to always be there for her. "I'll always be by your side, no matter what happens," he promises her.
Once he's alone, Daniel tells the cameras he doesn't see much point in continuing the relationship if he knows Hanni's not 100% committed to him. She comes to find him, and he admits that if he had gone first, he would've said yes at the altar.
Next, we see Medina and Sally's ceremony. They each call upon God to guide them on their big day, falling back on their faith when such a big decision lies ahead of them. Their ceremony begins with a prayer (the most religious of all the weddings we see), and soon Medina walks down the aisle, guided by his mother. By the time he gets to the altar, he's already shedding tears of happiness, even before Sally arrives.
Sally, for her part, wears a sleeveless gown and is walked down the aisle by her father. She tells him she's not nervous as they head to the altar, and when she reaches Medina she tells him that she barely recognizes herself in the dress. After the first wedding came to a crashing halt, will these two be able to take the final leap?
Sally is the first to be asked her answer, and she, much like Hanni, says she's unable to give her partner a "yes" on the day. Differently from Daniel, however, Medina appears to be understanding of her choice, and in fact it almost feels as if the two discussed the fact that they were going to say no ahead of time. Medina adds on to what Sally expresses:
As much as we both would have loved to say yes today, and as important as marriage is, I know we both only want to do it one time and properly. But this is only the end of the experiment, not the end for us.
Instead of things ending in tears, their guests clap at that point, and Medina thanks them as they each exit the wedding hall. Medina tells the cameras that while he's a little sad, ultimately he's learned that it's okay for him to express his feelings, and that that alone is a victory.
Ilias and Alina Are Last Up
Alina goes first with her vows, saying she never expected that she would find love in an experiment, but now she promises she will always have his back and says that she loves how she can be her true self with him. Ilias explains that he doesn't believe in perfect people, but that now he believes Alina is the perfect person for him.
With that, the two must give their final answers. Alina is asked first, and with a large smile she says yes. Ilias seems to pause before giving his answer, but ultimately he says, "I've never been more sure," and the two become officially married. In the end, it seems that the most unexpected couple was the one that was able to make the ultimate commitment. Despite the hiccups they had in the past about former pod connections, it seems like Alina and Ilias were able to have the hard conversations they needed to and came out on the other side all the stronger for it.
