‘Love Is Blind’ Star Marissa Has a New Boyfriend After Ramses Split: ‘It’s Nice to Be Taken Care Of’

Things didn’t work out for Marissa George on Love Is Blind, but during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 32-year-old revealed that she has found a partner outside of the pods.

“I need a partner who’s gonna anticipate my needs a bit more [and] who’s gonna allow me to be the more emotional one and not have me lead the relationship as much. I figured that out with Ramses,” Marissa told Us. “I’m currently dating someone right now and he has those qualities that Ramses didn’t have for our relationship.”

Marissa went on to explain that in her “new relationship” her “boyfriend takes care of me in a way that I used to take care of other people and how I took care of Ramses in a way,” adding that it’s “nice to be taken care of.”

Ramses called off his engagement to Marissa ahead of the scheduled weddings on the hit Netflix show. While the pair admittedly hooked up a few times after calling it quits, Marissa says she has fully moved on with her new man.

“We met at Barcelona in D.C. and we kind of dated a bit, but I was still working through a lot of my emotions with Ramses, so we stopped going on dates and we took a break and still stayed friends. We started dating [again] in April,” she said. “It’s going very well.”

The twosome have even conquered the task of watching her failed engagement unfold on TV.

“He did watch [the show] and it’s, obviously, hard to see your partner, like, in love with somebody else, but he knew what to expect and he knows the type of person I am. So he wasn’t too shocked I don’t think,” she told Us. “I think we are definitely stronger because of it.”

Love Is Blind's Marissa Has a New Boyfriend — And Her Mom Approves:

While she’s coming off an experiment that typically ends at the altar, Marissa isn’t eager for a chance to finally wear that wedding dress.

“I am not rushing to get married tomorrow. I recognize that’s something I’m taking away from the experiment — how important it is to really truly know your partner,” she said. “And that’s not to discount anyone who gets married on the experience. Like, if I had found my person and we walked down the aisle, I would’ve done it. But definitely me and my partner, he was with me when I was taking the bar and through all those things and he’s really showed up for me in a way that no one has ever shown up for me.”

The duo are looking forward to going public after she had to keep her status under wraps due to the timing of the show. And don’t worry, LiB fans, Marissa’s tell-it-like-it-is mother, Vanessa, officially approves of her new beau (For the uninitiated, Marissa’s mother set social media timelines on fire after she gave Ramses such a hard time.)

“My mom loves him and it drives me insane,” Marissa told Us. “She’s never loved a boyfriend more. They call each other and have private conversations. He texts my brother and my sister. It’s really nice to have him involved in my family in a way that other partners never [has. I think they can be intimidated by my mom at first and he never was.”
