Love Is Blind’s Chelsea Blackwell Says People Are ‘Mad’ She Lost Weight: ‘Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don’t’

Love Is Blind season 6 star Chelsea Blackwell is clapping back after receiving criticism for sharing her recent success in her weight loss journey.

Chelsea Blackwell attends the Supermodels Unlimited Magazine's 25th Anniversary Gala on January 18, 2025 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

On March 29, the 32-year-old posted a TikTok video sharing a message to the people in her DMs who have been saying she’s a “horrible role model” because she’s taking a GLP-1 to help with weight loss.

GLP-1 is short for glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, which work in the brain to impact satiety. Popular brands are Ozempic and Mounjaro.

“We are in the year 2025. First you guys are screaming at me that I’m the fattest person to grace your television. And then I lose the weight and now you guys are mad. I don’t understand,” she said. “I think the only thing I do understand is that you guys are really sad. I’m the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been in years. If you think that I care about how you guys are mad that I have lost the weight…”

“I’ve expressed that I’m on a GLP-1. I feel the best I’ve ever felt in years. I have more energy than I’ve felt. It’s something that’s worked for me and I will never lie to you guys. I’ll be very open about it,” she continued. “But you’re either damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t. You’re damned if you talk about it, you’re damned if you don’t. I quite frankly don’t care. I feel like my followers like to hear my story and my journey, and maybe there’s someone I can relate to that has struggled their whole life. But I’m in the best body I’ve ever been in in my entire life. I feel amazing.”

Blackwell said she’s also walking in an upcoming show for Miami Swim Week, which is something she wouldn’t have believed a year ago, boasting how proud she is of herself.

“This is my body and if you don’t like it, then that’s okay,” she ended. “The last thing I’m gonna do is try and let you guys dull my sparkle and steal my happiness from me. So, God bless you guys but go get a hobby.”

Blackwell has documented her weight loss journey on social media since turning 30.

On March 28, the reality star shared on Instagram that she’s lost over 30 lbs. in three months since taking a weight loss medication. She also credited her new figure to getting a tummy tuck and breast augmentation last year as a “motivational kickstart.”

“Deciding to undergo surgery was a no-brainer, but you must take care of your body after a surgery like that,” she told US Weekly. “A lot of people are unaware that if you don’t work out or eat healthy the weight goes to other parts of your body — and that’s no good.”

After going under the knife, Blackwell said in April 2024 that her confidence level has skyrocketed since making  “amazing progress” in her weight-loss journey.

"I love my body," she said on TikTok. "I've never been a small girl my entire life, and I'm okay with that. Why I decided to change what I was doing was because I wasn't feeling healthy. I wasn't feeling strong. It was affecting my mental health and it was affecting my energy levels."

“I’m not hard on myself, by any means. But I feel better," she added. "My skin feels better, I look better and I'm able to deliver my best possible self to everyone else around me."
