Lydia McLaughlin Announces Death of Mom Judy in Emotional Tribute, See Her Post as Andy Cohen and RHOC Cast React

Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lydia McLaughlin revealed her mom Judy Stirling passed away, as the star expressed that Judy is “dancing” with “fairy dust” in Heaven. Other castmates in the franchise shared their reactions and support.

During Lydia’s stint on the show, her relationship with her mom was perhaps her most engrossing storyline. Judy sprinkled fairy dust on costars, was fond of wearing crowns, and sent positive vibes to everyone – including Lydia’s on-screen enemies, who were immediately charmed by her.

“My mom passed away last night,” wrote Lydia on an October 9 Instagram post, which included a photo of the mother and daughter wearing crowns. “We are heart broken but we know she’s dancing with Jesus. 💫 Fair[y] dust, confetti bombs and crowns like heaven has never seen before.”

“What’s in the cat is in the kitten,” she continued, “and I promise to continue to make you proud.”

RHOC castmates shared their support in the comments.

Vicki Gunvalson expressed, “Oh honey – I am so sorry to hear this. What an incredible bond you and your mother had. Peace be with you and your family.”
