Madison LeCroy has always been an open book. And Southern Charm viewers often get an inside look at her marriage to Brett Randle and their lives raising her son, Hudson. And while she's shared a lot of her life as a mom to her tween son with the world, her co-parenting relationship with her Hudson's dad remains a mystery. However, when she recently spoke to The Daily Dish, she opened up about where she and her ex-husband stand today.
"Obviously, we were very young when we had Hudson and I was very shocked at how quick that we realized it wasn’t about us and it was about Hudson and what’s best for him," she said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish in early December. "And I think that we both have done a wonderful job at keeping that the main priority. I think we’re actually doing pretty good at that."
While Madison doesn't often open up about her first marriage or navigating her split from Hudson's dad, she shed more light on it during the Season 7 premiere of Southern Charm back in 2020.
"When I found out I was pregnant, I definitely wanted a son. I feel like I'm a boy mom. I know people say that and they're like what does that even mean? But could you imagine like me in a miniature version? I mean, that would be like hell on earth," Madison shared in the episode in interview. "I was 20 when I got married. And I had Hudson when we were 22. And we divorced when Hudson was 3 years old. And we do co-parenting, so we're 50 percent on [and] 50 percent off."
Madison and Brett recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary (or the day she made "the best decision" and said "I do" to Brett) and weeks prior, she headed to Instagram to share a sweet birthday tribute for Brett. Her love for Brett is certainly evident even as they navigate ups and downs including Brett's recent health issues as he recovers from a cancer diagnosis.
She wrote, "Happy 38th birthday to my best friend, my partner, my everything. Life with you is more than I ever could have dreamed of, and I’m so thankful for every moment. Here’s to more years of love, laughter, and growing together. Love you always."
When chatting with The Daily Dish earlier this month, Madison opened up about watching her son grow up right before her eyes. Andm yes, it puts her in her feelings.
"It’s crazy. I think I’m like he will be a pre-teen next year, even though I feel like he thinks he’s already a grown man. But, he makes my job as a mother very easy," she shared. "He rarely ever gets in trouble. He might talk back here and there, but he’s just a kindhearted kid and I just adore every stage of his life. I just think it keeps getting better and better, even though eight months was probably my favorite [laughs]."
In a November 2024 Instagram post, Madison was feeling just as sentimental about her son as she reflected on their life together and sweet mother-son bond.
"My sweet boy, Hudson, you are my greatest accomplishment and the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Being your mother has been the most fulfilling part of my life, and I honestly can’t remember what life was like before you. It just feels like everything got brighter and more exciting the moment you arrived. You make everyone around you smile, laugh, and feel better in every way," she wrote. "I can’t even begin to explain the love I have for you—it’s just that big! I’m beyond proud of you, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to do in the years ahead. This year is extra special because it’s your last before you officially become a teenager. Yikes—make it stop! But I need to stop myself here, because you know me… I’m already crying just writing this. Thank you for being the most incredible kid and always taking care of your momma. Anything you want, you’ve got it, babe."
