Madison LeCroy is in full preparation for baby No. 2. After the Southern Charm cast member announced in early February that she is expecting her second child, she has been updating fans on her symptoms and all of the preparation that she has been doing so far in anticipation for the baby's arrival.
But she doesn't have to do all of it alone, as she has her 12-year-old son, Hudson, from a previous marriage, and her husband, Brett Randle, to help her get it all done.
Madison took to Instagram this week where she revealed that Hudson was helping her put together a jogging stroller ahead of the baby's birth. But they were just a little confused about what to do. In the snapshots captured by Madison, Hudson can be seen with the stroller parts strewn all around him as he attempted to help put it together. But, Madison had a better idea to help him. "Hold on, we gotta read," she told him.
"Hudson and I putting our workout stroller together," she captioned the post.
Madison LeCroy says Hudson thinks being a big brother is "kinda cool"
During an appearance on the Southern Charm After Show after Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 10, Madison revealed that it took Hudson a little bit of time to warm up to the idea of becoming a big brother. But, once they adopted their dog, Karen, he got a better idea of how to care for another loved one.
"At first he didn't [want a younger sibling]," Madison told her Southern Charm cast member, Craig Conover, as seen in the video clip above. "And then I got a dog, and then he was like, 'Actually, this is kinda cool.' And then he's like, 'Okay, I think I can do this.' And then he goes, 'By the time this kid would turn 10, I'll be in college.' I was like, 'Exactly!' Basically, I'm gonna end up having like, only children, separately."
Madison told People on Feb. 6 that Hudson, who she calls her "best friend," was the first person she told about her pregnancy, after Brett. "And yeah, he was excited," she said. "Obviously, at first he's like, 'Eh.' And then we recently got a puppy, so he goes, 'Actually I really love caring, so I might as well.' I was like, 'Okay. This is going to be way different but okay.'"
How Madison LeCroy's second pregnancy is different from her first
In addition to having an extra set of hands, thanks to Hudson, Madison's second pregnancy has been just a little different than her first for other reasons. "It's the total opposite than what I experienced at 22 years old," she told the publication, admitting that this pregnancy has taken a toll on her skin. "I had the glowing skin and I had all that, and this is the opposite."
"I'm exhausted, [with] full-blown adult acne, and didn't lose any weight at the beginning, versus [with] Hudson, I was starting off in a negative," she added. "So I can just tell it's a 12-year difference."
