'Mahomes Magic' Strikes Again - Red Raiders in the NFL Week 12

The Texas Tech Red Raiders got back on track in the win column with a 56-48 win over the Big 12 rival Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 13 of the college football regular season.

Over in the NFL, as they completed Week 12, several teams had bye weeks including two former Red Raiders. But seven others were in action around the league.

Most notably, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes performed a little "Mahomes Magic" against the Panthers as he willed his team to victory while rookie Dadrion Taylor-Demerson stood out against a division opponent for the Arizona Cardinals.

Let's take a look at how former Texas Tech Red Raiders performed in the NFL in Week 12.

S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Arizona Cardinals) - Taylor-Demerson earned his second-straight career start and led the Cardinals in tackles with nine including three solo and one for loss, and added a pass breakup in the 16-6 loss to the Seahawks.

DL Broderick Washington Jr. (Baltimore Ravens) - Washington Jr. got his third start of the year and played 35 defensive snaps in this season's version of the "Harbaugh Bowl" in the Ravens' 30-23 win over the L.A. Chargers.

OL Terence Steele (Dallas Cowboys) - The former Red Raider made his 11th start of the season and helped Dallas break its five-game losing streak in a 34-26 wild win over the Washington Commanders. Steele played every offensive snap.

DE Myles Cole (Jacksonville Jaguars) - Cole and the Jags had a bye week in Week 12.

QB Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) - Mahomes helped the Chiefs avoid an inexplicable loss to the lowly Carolina Panthers with a 33-yard scramble just before time expired to set up a 31-yard game-winning field goal. Mahomes was second on the team in rushing with 60 yards while going 27-of-37 for 269 yards and three touchdowns.

DE Tyree Wilson (Las Vegas Raiders) - Wilson played 39 defensive snaps and nine on special teams while registering four tackles with one solo, and the team's only sack - an 11-yard loss - in the 29-19 loss to the Denver Broncos.

LB Jordyn Brooks (Miami Dolphins) - Brooks led the Dolphins in tackles for the third week in a row, registering nine tackles with seven solo and one for loss. He also posted one fumble recovery in the 34-15 win over the New England Patriots. Brooks currently leads his team in tackles for the season with 95, which is 35 more than the next player on the list.

LB Sam Eguavoen (New York Jets) - Eguavoen and the Jets were on a bye in Week 12.

DB Tyler Owens (Washington Commanders) - Owens played 30 snaps on special teams in the Commanders' wild 34-36 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
