Marc-Andre Fleury Pulls Off One Final Prank Ahead of His Retirement

The Minnesota Wild not only landed a brilliant, veteran goaltender when they picked up Marc-Andre Fleury, but they also landed one of the most notorious pranksters that the NHL has ever seen.

Those pranks are infamous in NHL circles, with some of the best involving Sidney Crosby and his old Pittsburgh Penguins teammates, and even at age 40, he's not stopping them anytime soon.

With just a few days remaining in his final NHL season, rookie Zeev Buium, who was called up just a few days ago after finishing his NCAA career has told the tale of a simple but brilliant prank from the veteran.

'I was sitting in the theatre and they told me to sit somewhere, and they pointed at the seat and I sat there. Fleury walked up and said 'that's my seat' and it wasn't actually.'

According to Buium, in his first meeting, Fleury told him where he needs to sit during, and a few minutes later, the veteran came up to him and asked him why he was sitting in his seat.

It's not the most elaborate or embarrassing prank we've ever seen, but for a rookie just hours into his NHL career without even a skate or a game under his belt, it must have been incredibly intimidating.

Buium thankfully knows it was all in good fun, and with Fleury retiring soon, someone else in the NHL will need to step up and give the fans some fun, harmless pranks on opposing players or teammates to get the fans talking.
