“Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer Mark Ballas and his wife, BC Jean, gave fans a recent glimpse into their marriage and how playful they can be. They did this by making a hilarious video about Ballas’ dancing skills and how they prove particularly useful in the kitchen.
The short clip was posted on Instagram and begins with Jean holding onto her husband’s Mirrorball Trophy (Ballas won three trophies while on the show, and made it to the final another eleven times). Jean can be seen gazing at something in wonder and drooling, and then the camera pans over to Ballas doing his samba whisk in the kitchen while flipping toast. The text overlay on the video reads: “POV: Your husband used to be a pro on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’”
Mark Ballas’ Fans React to His DWTS-Inspired Video
Jean is not the only one impressed with Ballas and his culinary skills!
The hilarious skit was captioned with a short message. “Let me WHISK you up some toast,” Ballas wrote. The post has attracted attention from fans and Ballas’ DWTS family members, including Pasha Pashkov, who commented on his friend’s outfit. “I’d be drooling over those pants too,” he wrote.
“The drool,” Derek Hough wrote. The official DWTS Instagram account also reacted to the post, writing, “@markballas sure knows how to move!” Other reactions include, “I KNEWWWW it was gonna cut to you doing the samba whisk,” “Mark has still got it! Wish he would do one more season of DWTS! He was my favorite,” and “One of my favs.”
Mark Ballas Steps Away From the DWTS Stage
Ballas was on DWTS for 20 seasons and became a fan favorite. He has fondly spoken about his time on the show despite leaving to pursue other career goals. He also went on a high note, after winning Season 31 alongside Charli D’Amelio. Deadline reports that the dancer announced his retirement during a performance for the “Dancing with the Stars Live 2023” tour in Las Vegas.
“I’ve done 20 seasons now,” Ballas said. “I started this journey when I was 21, 22, and honestly, being able to dance and perform for you fans — you guys are the best fans.”
He continued, “My mom is here tonight. My dad is here tonight. My wife is here tonight. My wife’s mom and dad are here tonight. I just want to finish by saying, this will be the last time you see me dance in this capacity. I’m coming to a close tonight. This is going to be my last dance.”
It may have been his last dance on the “Dancing With the Stars” stage, but at least fans get to see Ballas when he posts videos on Instagram!
