Mark Ballas Teases Something Huge for DWTS Fans

Could Mark Ballas, Derek Hough, and Val Chmerkovskiy be going on tour together?! The “Dancing With the Stars” cast members and longtime friends might do just that! After being spotted together at Val Chmerkovskiy’s fundraiser at the Playground LA on January 22, Ballas suggested that the three head out on the road.

“Should we take this show on the road??” Ballas captioned the post on his Instagram Stories, adding the curious face emoji. He also included a poll for fans, which stood at 99% “BRUH!!! DUH!!!” the last time we checked.

Fans Would Love to See Mark Ballas & Derek Hough Collaborate on a Tour

If Ballas and Hough teamed up for any sort of tour, fans would probably go wild for it. When the guys performed together on season 33 of “Dancing With the Stars,” their Argentine Tango went viral. It’s clear that people love both Ballas and Hough and would really love to see what they could do together creatively.

“I just love this lifelong friendship – and such talent,” one person commented on a photo of Ballas and Hough posted to the official DWTS Instagram feed.

“@derekhough @markballas This routine needs to go on the road!!!!” someone else suggested.

“That performance had me in complete awe!! I LOVE these men and to have their expertise TOGETHER doing that dance, was one for the ages!! A performance I will never forget,” a third comment read.

“This was so awesome! Anything Derek and Mark do together is awesome,” a fourth fan said.

Derek Hough Has Been Touring Alongside His Wife, Hayley Erbert

While we can’t say for sure whether or not Hough would be open to touring with Ballas, he’s been headlining his own tours alongside his wife, Hayley Erbert.

In 2023, he and Erbert performed dozens of shows as part of the Symphony of Dance Tour. Then, in 2024, they returned to the stage for the Dance for the Holidays Tour, which wrapped in December.

Hough and Erbert haven’t announced another tour for 2025 or beyond — so it is possible that Hough could team up with Ballas for something in the future.

As far as Chmerkovskiy goes, he has been part of Savor After Dark for the past two years. However, he hasn’t announced plans for that this year. This also means that he could be available to team up with his friends for something really spectacular!
