The Las Vegas Raiders' rumored interest in Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders will only intensify after Maxx Crosby's comments.
The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to undergo some form of overhaul this offseason, whether it be a rebuild or a retool. Regardless, the team is expected to address the quarterback position through the draft.
While numerous intriguing quarterback prospects are expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, none have more hype surrounding them than Colorado's Shedeur Sanders. Not surprisingly, the buzz surrounding the Raiders and Sanders has intensified as the season rolls on.
Sanders, the son of Colorado head coach and former NFL star Deion Sanders, has thrived throughout his collegiate career, especially since landing in Boulder last season. The Raiders' interest in the Colorado quarterback is well-documented, but defensive star Maxx Crosby's latest comments will push that hype to a different level.
Crosby recently joined "The Rush" podcast and discussed several topics, but what he said about his relationship with Sanders was noteworthy. Crosby said he spoke to the Colorado quarterback just before hopping on the podcast and detailed his longtime relationship with the Sanders family.
"That's my guy. Shedeur's my guy, that's what people don't know," Crosby said.
Crosby explained that his brother, Miles, was college roommates with Deion Sanders Jr., who does video and social media content for Colorado football.
"When I was young, I was like in high school, I went to Deion's actual house. I saw Shedeur when he was like a little chubby kid. I've known him for a long time," Crosby added.
"I've known that family for a long time. Me and Shedeur, we've been cool for a long time. He shot me a Facetime, he's chillin' and we were just talking about his game and everything."

Following the Raiders' trade that sent Davante Adams to the New York Jets, the belief that the team will finish with a high pick in the 2025 NFL Draft increased. And with Sanders widely viewed as the top prospect at the position, the pairing almost makes too much sense.
Sanders threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions during 2023. He's pacing toward an even better season in 2024 with Colorado, completing 72.2 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,268 yards, 19 touchdowns, and six interceptions in seven games.
