professional fight in over twenty years when he takes on Jake Paul later this November.
The legendary former heavyweight champion will be giving away over 30-years of youth come fight night and concerns over his health have been raised by fans and fighters. Those fears were only heightened when the original July dight date had to be pushed back after the 58-year-old suffered an ulcer flare-up.
Instead of sitting out and waiting for Tyson, Paul stayed active and faced former UFC star and Bare Knuckle champion Mike Perry instead.
The YouTube-turned-boxer made relatively light work of his opponent, knocking him down several times before stopping him in the sixth round.
After the fight, Perry appeared on Paul’s podcast and was asked who he thought would win the Tyson fight, and the MMA star didn’t hesitate in picking the younger man.
“I think Jake wins. You’re younger and I think you’re doing the right things as far as what your team has you doing, it works.
I wasn’t able to add anything up on you, I wasn’t able to have you punch yourself out, I wasn’t able to get you on the ropes where I could release a flurry and at 58, Mike’s age is something I’m thinking about.
I think you get that win.”
Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson takes place on November 15 at the AT&T arena in Texas and will be broadcast live on Netflix as part of a standard subscription
