Mike Tyson and Jake Paul drug test bombshell emerges after controversial fight

In a shocking revelation, Mirror Fighting has discovered that Mike Tyson and Jake Paul were not subjected to drug testing before their contentious heavyweight clash in November.

Tyson, 58, retired from boxing in 2005 after a defeat by Kevin McBride but made a surprising return to the ring in 2020 for an exhibition match against fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. The boxing world was taken aback when he announced his professional comeback last year.

Tyson shared several training videos ahead of the fight, leading fans to believe he could turn back time on the night of the fight. However, Tyson's age became evident, and he failed to secure a significant upset.

Despite not achieving a knockout, Paul managed to secure a unanimous decision victory, extending his professional boxing record to 11-1. However, it has now been revealed that neither fighter underwent drug testing before the match, nearly three months after the event.

A spokesperson for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation debunked rumours to Mirror Fighting, stating: "There was no drug test on either one. Combative Sports sends off for a randomisation, neither one was chosen for a drug test."

This revelation directly challenges Paul's previous statements. The expectation was that both boxing icons would undergo drug testing before their bout.

'The Problem Child' had disclosed on the Suga Sean O'Malley podcast last November that there would be a 'big drugs test. ' During the podcast, Tim Welch, O'Malley's coach, suggested: "They've got to let Mike use some special supplements, a little bit. I mean 58-years-old. Having the lifestyle that he's had, his natural testosterone can't be that high, so hopefully he's able to get boosted up a little bit."

In response, Paul claimed: "Well, there's like a big, panel, drugs test from the Texas State Commission."

Welch humorously added: "So his testosterone can't be 16,000 like Alistair Overeem that one time," to which Paul responded: "No, I don't think so."

Before the match, there was concern over Tyson's well-being, and the boxing titan himself conceded that the thought of a lawsuit worried him if he had to cancel the bout again. Speaking with Fox Nation, Tyson let slip what kept him from pulling out: "I haven't thought about that [if it weakened him]. I was worried about getting sued, you know, because I was like, God, they're going to sue me if I don't do this fight," he divulged.

"I had a bloody ulcer, like three inches. Kept bleeding and bleeding. And I had to have, what, 10 blood transfusions. Each time I do this, I was like the same doing Roy Jones as doing this one. My wife sees me screaming because my body is in so much pain. And I come home, I'm like, ah, ah. I promise I wouldn't do this to myself."

Just last month, the 58 year old shared a shocking confession with the New York Post, stating he hadn't fully bounced back from his Paul fight, admitting, "I feel pretty good. I don't know if I'm 100 per cent recovered, but I feel good."

Back in December, during an interview with Fox Sports Radio, Tyson acknowledged memory gaps about the bout, confessing, "I don't remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out,".

"I haven't watched the fight. You know what I remember... coming back from the first round and Jake was doing some sort of bow... that's the last thing I remember."

He continued: "I wasn't tired, I wasn't sweaty. I went to the house we were staying in, I left the house with my wife and kids, went to the after-party then went back."
