Mike Tyson will finally let fans in on his intensive training camp for his boxing return in a new Netflix documentary this November.
The iconic former heavyweight champion is set to face Jake Paul on November 15 in the first fight broadcast on the streaming platform. At the age of 58 there have been concerns about his health heading into the fight, particularly after he was forced to reschedule their original date.
But he is now claiming to be training six hours a day, with footage set to be broadcast in a three-part documentary on the streaming platform heading into fight week. He and Paul will both be featured as the streamer puts their full weight behind the controversial clash.

Mike Tyson claims he has been training six hours a day for Jake Paul fight
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mike Tyson was quizzed about his training for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. Kimmel noted that he would be betting a large sum of money on the former heavyweight champ, who admitted that the pair’s age may play a factor in his underdog status.
“Listen, I’m [nearly] 60-years-old, he’s 27,” Tyson explained when Kimmel expressed his shock that he was bot the bookie’s pick. “So I don’t know.” He then agreed when the comedian joked that he has an advantage because “you are Mike Tyson and he isn’t.”
He also detailed his extensive training regime, which he claims takes him six hours a day as he prepares for his first fight in four years. “The closer it gets to the fight the less nervous I get,” he added. “I’m training extremely hard.
“I start at 11 in the morning and I might leave the gym at 5pm. There’s a small break. After I finish my boxing I get a massage for an hour but then I go right into strength and conditioning. I have smoked [marijuana], but not any time soon. I’m going to be so high off life.”
Jake Paul and Mike Tyson announce three-part Netflix documentary
As promotion begins to ramp up for boxing’s debut on Netflix, the streaming giant is putting its considerable weight behind the event. They will air a three-part documentary in the early part of November which takes fans inside both camps, alongside other promotional efforts.
The film was announced this week, with first photos emerging from Tyson’s training camp amid concerns that he hasn’t been sharing pre-fight footage. Meanwhile, Paul has been trolling both his opponent and fans with videos in a fat suit, claiming that he has piled on the pounds for the bout.
A statement from the broadcaster claimed that the documentary, which also features Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor, will “capture the incredible grit, determination and physical demands needed to prepare for what will be an explosive, can’t miss professional boxing mega-event.”
The series will be directed by Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker for EverWonder Studio. It will be executive produced by Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro.
Paul said: “It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”
