Jessi Ngatikaura from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives addressed the status of her relationship with husband Jordan Ngatikaura amid cheating rumors. She also hinted at “more to the story” about allegations surrounding her castmate Demi Engemann and Marciano Brunette (Lisa Vanderpump‘s Vanderpump Villa employee).
Earlier this year, Marciano wrote a cryptic post hinting he was disinvited from a Hulu event because a ‘Mormon Wife’ didn’t want him to tell the truth about what allegedly happened between them. Demi then accused Marciano of sexual harassment.
In season two of Mormon Wives, Marciano told Layla Taylor that he slept with Jessi. Other cast members alleged that Jessi and Marciano were seen making out, but Jessi denied it.
On the May 20 episode of The Viall Files podcast, Jessi was asked about the absence of her wedding ring.
“I will say that reality TV is hard on any relationship, whether it’s a friendship or a marriage. And we’ve been through a lot, and now it’s gonna be public,” said the star, via PEOPLE. “We’re working through things, and we’re trying our best, but things are a little tricky right now … I’m excited to hopefully someday share more about that. But right now, it’s a little bit, it’s just real life, and it’s hard.”
The host offered Jessi the chance to “clear the air” regarding the affair allegations, but she seemed to turn it down.
“I can’t say much, unfortunately. I wish I could,” she expressed. “But there is just so much more to the story. And again, relationships are hard and they’re nuanced. There’s so much more that I’m excited to share because I think people will be able to relate to my story.”
Jessi was then asked if she thinks Jordan is a good role model for what she wants her daughter to look for in a future husband.
“[That’s a] loaded question,” she said. “No … I think that there’s been a lot that’s happened, and I think that he and I are both willing to work on things and change. But maybe he should be asked that question because that might wake him up.”
“I’m really good at taking accountability. I own my s—,” she added. “I am excited to someday tell the full story and fall on my sword and take accountability for certain things, but also open up a bigger conversation that I think needs to happen.”
In an interview for the Taste of Taylor podcast, Jessi was asked if there were things fans didn’t see about Demi and Marciano.
“100 percent,” she said. “Yeah, there was a lot going on. Even to the point where like Demi [got into an argument with] Mikayla and Jen … [who] were like, ‘We think this is a little inappropriate.’ And she’s like, ‘No, it’s not.’ And there was some back and forth … There was definitely more to the story, and I think she got lucky with the edit, I’ll say that.”
Jessi said she believes that Marciano’s recent post, which suggested he was disinvited to a Hulu event because a ‘Mormon Wife’ didn’t want him to share the truth, was about Demi.
