Dana White did not shy away with his response to the ultimate combat sports conundrum.

White was questioned about two of the biggest name's in the fighting world, and it's evident where his thoughts lie.

Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss sport in the middle east and UFC's growth, the UFC President was question by its host Piers Morgan about Jon Jones and Mike Tyson.

"If you could get in the ring with one of those two," Morgan asked the 55-year-old.

"Peak Mike Tyson, peak Jon Jones, who would you least want to get in the ring with?"

"The answer is neither," White responded. "I'm not getting in the ring with neither.

"In my prime when I was young...you don't want to mess with either one of them.

"Jon Jones and Mike Tyson are two of the nastiest human beings ever."

Tyson is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, having locked horns with the likes of Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis during his 59 bout career that included 44 knockouts and 50 wins.

'The Baddest Man on the Planet' made one final ring walk last November when he was outpointed by YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul in front of over 70,000 fans.

The spectacle smashed numerous records as over 60 million households tuned in to the event live on Netflix for what ultimately turned out to be a dull affair.

Jones, meanwhile, is the current UFC heavyweight champion, having fought in the promotion for 17 years while losing just one - a disqualification to Matt Hamill in December 2009 - of his 24 bouts.ARLINGTON, TEXAS - NOVEMBER 15: Mike Tyson fights during LIVE On Netflix: Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium on November 15, 2024 in Arlington, Texas. He won the heavyweight strap in March 2023 after submitting Ciryl Gane on his return to MMA following a three-year hiatus, and defended it against the now-retired Stipe Miocic last November.

The 37-year-old has been heavily linked with a fight to defend his belt next against Britain's Tom Aspinall in what would be a mouthwatering undisputed clash, and one of the UFC's biggest fights of all time.

Aspinall is the interim UFC heavyweight champion, having earned that status by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295 in November 2023.

The Wigan native has been calling for a fight with Jones for months now to no avail, even more so after defending the status at UFC Manchester last July by knocking out Curtis Blaydes in one minute.

White asserted that Aspinall was 'another one' of those nasty humans when asked about the 31-year-old.

"He wants to fight everybody...Yes, he does [think he will beat Jones]," White added.

"I love it...I love that in a young, aggressive, talented heavyweight - that he actually wants to fight the best."

"The problem in this business is that you have guys who say a lot of things publicly, but behind the curtains don't mean it. You know, don't really want these fights.

"Tom Aspinall is not that guy. Tom Aspinall wants to fight all the best in the world, and I love that."

"[He's] very good. We're gonna find out though. We made this Jon Jones fight, and obviously a fight like that for a young, talented heavyweight. If he can win and beat Jon Jones it's life changing."

Morgan interviewed Aspinall back in December where the latter made it clear his intentions to fight Jones.

The UFC star also claimed in the conversation that Jones could not be viewed as the greatest MMA fighter of all time because 'he has failed a couple of drug tests.'

Dricus Du Plessis says he doesn’t want to see Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall - there’s only one reason why

"If you're on PEDs and your opponent isn't, that's absolutely cheating, in my book - unless you're both allowed to do it!" he said.

Jones first tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs or PEDs in the buildup to his proposed bout with Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.

He then tested positive again in 2017 after returning from a one-year suspension to finally fight Cormier in July of the same year.

Regardless of Aspinall's comments, White doesn't hold the same opinion.

"That I disagree with, 100 per cent," White told Morgan.

"What you deserve and what you go out and get are two totally different things.

"When you think about Jon Jones and how good he really is. Then you think about the lifestyle he was living outside of the octagon, it actually makes it more impressive."

Aspinall and Jones are two of the sport's biggest names right now, and should they fight then it could be one of greatest UFC spectacles of all time.

Current UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis, who defends his belt this weekend at UFC 312, doesn't want to see the fight come to fruition as he is afraid of seeing either man lose.
