Nate Diaz has offered his prediction for the upcoming clash between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
Diaz fought Paul back in August 2023, at the time becoming the latest former UFC fighter to enter the ring and try their luck against the Youtuber-turned-boxer.
Paul dropped Diaz in round five of the bout, but the MMA veteran did manage to survive and go the distance, with Paul coming out on top by unanimous decision.
Next up for ‘The Problem Child’ is the controversial fight against boxing legend Tyson, which is set to be held at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on Friday 15 November, and broadcast live on Netflix.
The bout has split opinion within the sport over whether or not it should be going ahead, and Diaz has now weighed in and told DraftKings who he is backing in the contest.
“I’m with Mike all the way. Mike is the man. Jake is young and explosive and has nothing to lose in every fight, that’s what he has going for them. Everything is going to switch where he is supposed to be the guy that wins, it’ll hit him a little differently.”
Tyson’s last professional fight was way back in 2005, where he retired on his stool after six rounds in a defeat against Kevin McBride.
He did have an exhibition match-up with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, which was declared a split draw after eight rounds of action, and Jones has given a defiant prediction for the upcoming battle between Tyson and Paul.
