National Analyst Flames Packers QB Jordan Love With Blunt Burn

The Green Bay Packers have already won 10 times this year after capturing a playoff victory after last season, but that has not stopped the questions surrounding quarterback Jordan Love.

Former NFL cornerback and current Amazon Prime analyst Richard Sherman put Love on blast Monday, challenging Love's ball security skills and contending that the coaching staff takes the football out of his hands in crucial spots for that exact reason.

National Analyst Flames Packers QB Jordan Love With Blunt Burn

"They have been beat by both [the Vikings and Lions]," Sherman posted to social media. "That's why [the Packers] don't let [Love] throw 30 passes most games, because he will throw the game away like he did in the playoffs. Season ended on an INT."

Love has thrown at least 30 passes in five of his 12 starts this season. Green Bay is 2-3 in those games and has lost four times total on the year.

The Packers quarterback has thrown 11 interceptions in 2024, nearly 1 pick per game. Meanwhile, running back Josh Jacobs has been a beast in his first year with the franchise.

Green Bay started leaning heavily on Jacobs early, as Love missed Weeks 2 and 3 with a knee injury and backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in as the starter.

All told, Jacobs has tallied 1,147 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground as well as 31 catches for 302 yards and 1 score, per Pro Football Reference.

The former NFL rushing leader is a security blanket for Love, though the QB will probably be asked to win his team a game or two in the postseason if a Super Bowl appearance is to come into play.

And should Love find himself in that situation, ball security will certainly be at a premium.
