Millions have tuned in to hear Peyton and Eli Manning discuss the games with guests during the broadcast.

And NBC is looking to tap into AI to offer its own simulcast.

The network will work with Genius Sports and EA Sports to create a Madden-themed broadcast when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Houston Texans later this month.

Video game technology will be used during the live coverage of the Week 16 clash via the Peacock streaming service.

"We are excited to work with the NFL, EA Sports, and Genius Sports to offer fans the ability to watch Madden come to life like never before exclusively on Peacock, which has established itself as a home for premium live sports and innovative viewing experiences," NBC Sports' executive producer of NFL Fred Gaudelli said.

"This first-ever Madden NFL Cast marks a new milestone as Peacock's first sports alt-cast."

Next Gen Stats will provide data brought to life by the Madden game engine.

CBS also offers alternative coverage, in this case child-friendly commentary and graphics tied in with Nickelodeon.

"At EA Sports, we’re always exploring innovative ways to bring fans closer to the game they love, and the Madden NFL Cast is a groundbreaking step in that direction," said EA Sports executive Andrea Hopelain.

"By merging the excitement of live NFL action with the immersive possibilities of augmented reality, we’re redefining how fans experience football.

"Partnering with NBC Sports, Peacock, the NFL, and Genius Sports on this initiative allows us to deliver a dynamic broadcast that showcases the power of Madden NFL in a whole new way outside the game."

The 11-1 Chiefs are close to wrapping up the AFC West but have plenty to play for as they fight the 10-2 Buffalo Bills for the No. 1 seed.

Andy Reid has not been happy with the protection Mahomes is being given after he was sacked five times in Friday's clash against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The head coach pulled left tackle Wanya Morris from the lineup in a bid to improve his line.

"Yeah, Wanya was struggling a little bit, so I moved Joe (Thuney) over there, (Mike) Caliendo in at guard, I thought it was the right thing to do at that time," Reid said after the narrow win.

Tom Brady on how a visit to Peyton Manning laid the foundations for his New England Patriots dominating the NFL

"Talked to Andy (Heck) about it, and he agreed with it. So we made that move just to solidify things. Pat took a few hits there, and so we were struggling at times."

"I've got to be better," Morris admitted. "[I've] got to be better in certain situations and just overall.

"Obviously it's good to get the W, but I'm disappointed in myself."

CJ Stroud's Texans are 8-5 in the AFC South and hold a two-win lead over the Indianapolis Colts but have been far from the juggernaut many expected this season.

The Chiefs, continue to stack wins and return to action in Week 14 when they face AFC West rivals the Los Angeles Chargers who could close to within two games with a win
