CBS Sports reporter Melanie Collins was on duty for the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 10 game against the Denver Broncos, so she witnessed live how Patrick Mahomes and Co. survived the thriller.
Sure enough, the veteran NFL reporter couldn't help but react to the wild finish in the game and share multiple reactions to the Chiefs' incredible 16-14 win. For those who missed it, Kansas City beat Denver after linebacker Leo Chenal blocked what could have been a game-winning field goal for the Broncos with just four seconds left in the game.
On Instagram, Collins posted a screenshot of herself while interviewing Mahomes after the contest. The sideline reporter was in awe of the turn of events, as she reflected on the moment with clear excitement.
"The Chiefs stay undefeated on a blocked field goal! Postgame with Patrick Mahomes in KC #Week10," Collins wrote.
Fans quickly reacted to Melanie Collins' post, with many expressing their disbelief as well over what just transpired.
"What a game," fellow reporter Charissa Thompson wrote.
"Awesome game!" a fan said. Another one shared, "How about those Chiefs!!!!"
"WE ARE…" a commenter added. A fifth social media user simply noted, "Nice."
For what it's worth, Collins also shared a video of the Chiefs' game-winning play on her Instagram Stories and expressed how she truly feels about the incredible ending.
"What a wild finish," the 38-year-old reporter said.

The Chiefs and their fans have plenty of reason to celebrate, that's for sure. With the win, Kansas City maintained its immaculate record and improved to 9-0 on the campaign.
They are also now on a 15-game winning streak dating back to last season (including the playoffs). It's the longest winning streak in the NFL since the Green Bay Packers won 19 in a row back in 2010 and 2011, per Yahoo Sports.
Collins saw firsthand how the Chiefs kept their streak alive in the most unimaginable way possible, and like the rest of the Kansas City faithful, she was equally impressed.
