Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner Make It On New York Times Best Seller List

DeSorbo and Berner’s book, “How To Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously,” was released on April 15, 2025, and fans rushed to get it. Because of that, it earned a spot on the New York Times bestsellers list.

The book centers around advice from DeSorbo and Berner who “share hilarious and heartwarming advice on how to take life a little bit less seriously,” according to Simon and Schuster.

“Finding joy and laughter in the mundane can be challenging at times, but Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo have mastered the art of not taking life too seriously. Brought together under the bright lights of reality television, these best friends bonded in incredibly intense circumstances. They quickly came to realize that one of the bedrocks of their friendship is their shared experience with social anxiety,” Simon and Schuster wrote on their website. “As their friendship deepened, they found themselves constantly devolving into laughter, earning them the nickname “The Giggly Squad,” and with that, their superpower—laughing through life’s hardest moments—was born. Their podcast, Giggly Squad, feels like calling your best friend for a long overdue catch-up. No topic is off limits. No subject too small. And, most importantly, nothing is so serious that you can’t find a way to make it seem less scary by poking fun at it.”

Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner Reveal Why They Don’t Discuss ‘Summer House’ On Their Podcast

DeSorbo and Berner joined comedian Amy Poehler on her podcast “A Good Hang,” talking about everything from beta blockers to veneers, and even misquoting Wayne Gretzky.

But on the show, Poehler did ask the (one former and one current) “Summer House” stars if they even discuss the show on their podcast. And they both explained exactly why they don’t

“Never!” DeSorbo responded.

“We’ve never spoken about Summer House,” she added. “Honestly, when we started, we were one of the first podcasts to come out of Bravo. There was like one or two others. And they were really adamant about like ‘This is not a Bravo podcast, do not speak about Bravo.’”

“And we were like, ‘Totally fine with us,’” DeSorbo continued. “We weren’t going to anyway. We wanted it to be more pop culture. And so now people are kind of surprised if they find us from Bravo because they’re like, ‘They never talk about Bravo.’”

“Well, we weren’t allowed to in the beginning, and now like, yeah, it doesn’t go with who we are and what we talk about,” she concluded.
