Paige DeSorbo announced she is leaving Bravo’s “Summer House” after seven seasons.
The “Giggly Squad” podcast co-host took to her Instagram story to make the announcement Thursday, June 5.
“I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House,” she began in the lengthy statement.
“Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable,” DeSorbo continued. “You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me.”
She added how all thing must eventually come to an end.
“But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close,” DeSorbo said.
She thanked everyone who has helped on her journey with the show.
“To my castmates, the fans, and my NBCU family: thank you,” she added. “I never could’ve imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride.”
“And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise,” she concluded. “So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.”
DeSorbo Already Has a New Gig
The podcast host announced she is launched a loungewear brand called Daphne. In an interview with InStyle the 32-year-old dished on her new venture.
“This is one thing where I can say it’s a full-circle moment,” DeSorbo told InStyle. “I’m so happy that I didn’t do it sooner because I don’t think it would’ve been as authentic as it is right now.”
She Embraces Her ‘Bed Bug’ Status
The former “Summer House” star dished on how she is known for frequently spending time in bed. Desorbo recalled she was originally worried that people would think she was lazy.
“When it first came out, I was like, ‘Oh my God, everyone thinks I’m lazy. They think I don’t work. They think I do nothing. I’m going to be a joke,’” she told the outlet.
She said she was originally upset, but realized it’s better to be a part of the joke.
“I almost took back that power, like, ‘Oh, we can’t really make fun of her because she claims that,’” she said. “It took me eight years for ‘Summer House’ to take me seriously, but we got there.”
