Paige DeSorbo Hints at ‘Walking Away’ From Summer House: ‘Maybe It’s My Time’

As season nine of Summer House comes to a close next week, fans are abuzz about what happens next. And while some speculate about the reunion seating chart (why is Amanda Batula sitting next to Andy?) or what will happen now that Lindsay Hubbard is a mom (she can't do summers in the Hamptons with a baby--can she?), many are fixating on whether or not castmate Paige DeSorbo will return for season 10.

Since joining the cast in season three, DeSorbo has been a fan favorite. Whether she's rocking some of the chicest fashions on reality TV or dropping quippy one-liners while casually rotting in bed, DeSorbo is a major presence on the show. But lately, fans have begun to worry that DeSorbo is on her way out of the Summer House.

This season, viewers saw DeSorbo's relationship with Craig Conover from Bravo's Southern Charm come to an end. Their three-year union met its demise, in part, because of DeSorbo's career success.

That trajectory is also why it wouldn't be shocking for DeSorbo to take a step back from the show. Giggly Squad, her podcast with former castmate Hannah Berner, is more popular than ever. The duo not only just finished their 60-city tour, they also released a book, How to Giggle, in April. The tome immediately hit the New York Times bestseller list. DeSorbo and Berner also launched a YouTube series, Hannah and Paige Try New Things. And somewhere in there they found time to co-host the Vanity Fair Oscar Party livestream.

Beyond being booked and busy, DeSorbo has said she's not immune to the fact that she's growing up — something that doesn't always make for great TV on a show about summer parties.

"There’s an end date for me at some point. With the lifestyle of Summer House specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore," DeSorbo told Glamour last month. "Whenever I see a comment that’s like, 'She’s a little too old to be on this,' I’m like, Yeah, I kind of am. I’m probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old, and I get that."

So when DeSorbo removed Summer House from her Instagram bio, fans were quick to wonder if she had reached the end of her run.

The answer may lie in the season nine reunion, and housemate Jesse Solomon offered a bit of insight into what goes down there. While details of the reunion are closely guarded, we know that the cast sat down to film with Andy Cohen on April 24 and, by all accounts, they came out on good terms. But on a recent Amazon Live, Solomon shared that "there was a big announcement that we were all surprised by." He also added that "the girls on our show are seasoned reunion queens."

Meanwhile, Queen Paige seemed unbothered, commenting during her own Amazon Live that the group laughed more than they have during any other reunion and calling it "one of my favorite ones."

So will DeSorbo be stepping away from the show? We'll have to tune in to find out.
