Paige DeSorbo isn’t done with reality TV just yet.
Just weeks after announcing her departure from “Summer House” after seven seasons, DeSorbo made a surprise appearance on “Love Island USA.” The “Giggly Squad” podcast host took on guest-hosting duties during the June 15 episode of the Peacock dating series, appearing in the “Got Wood?” challenge segment.
The lumberjack-themed game featured the Islanders navigating flirty physical challenges, rapid-fire questions, and makeout moments—all with DeSorbo’s signature dry humor guiding the chaos.
DeSorbo’s Big Year of Personal and Professional Change
The “Love Island USA” Instagram page shared the moment, and DeSorbo reposted a behind-the-scenes image from set with the caption: “My wishes have been granted. Retiring see you never.”
The cameo marks DeSorbo’s first small-screen return since her “Summer House” departure. As reported by Deadline, the star he confirmed her exit from the Bravo reality series in June, writing on Instagram: “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable… But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
The entrepreneur and TV personality has kept busy since then, completing a national comedy tour with co-host Hannah Berner and launching Daphne, her sold-out sleepwear line.
DeSorbo’s exit from the show comes on the heels of her breakup with fellow reality star Craig Conover. In a Dec. 30 episode of her and Berner’s podcast, DeSorbo confirmed the split, saying, “Craig and I have decided to no longer be together.” She added, “I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best, because he is the best. But with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”
A Longtime Fan
DeSorbo has long expressed her love for “Love Island USA,” and her appearance seems to have been a mutual wish fulfilled. “Love Island USA” host Ariana Madix previously told E! News, “I would love to have Paige DeSorbo on Love Island. I think she would be so much fun. She’s hot and so smart and witty, and I think she would just bring something really fun to the villa.”
DeSorbo responded in a May interview with Elite Daily, saying, “What a queen. Thank you for manifesting for me, Ariana. That’s a girl’s girl. I don’t think I would ever go on it as a contestant… But I would love to host a challenge or do something with Ariana.”
That vision came to life in Episode 12 of Season 7. While she may not be stirring the pot as a contestant, DeSorbo was clearly right at home among the Islanders. She even shared a carousel of photos from her time on set, thanking Madix and writing, “Thank you [Ariana] for lending me the islanders.”
