Speaking on the LadyGang podcast, DeSorbo, 32, shared: “He likes me so much more than I like him, but it’s just [because] I’ve lived in New York City for 10 years. Like, that just is a harder city. Like, I’ve dated the worst people ever.”

DeSorbo, who hosts the Giggly Squad Podcast alongside Hannah Berner, attributes her cooler demeanor to her tough dating experiences in NYC, contrasting it with Conover’s “hopeless romantic” nature.

She admitted: “I sometimes feel myself being, like, too cold,” but noted that their contrasting personalities help balance their relationship.

DeSorbo has had a rocky dating history, including flings with co-stars Carl Radke and Andrea Denver, and a longer relationship with Perry Rahbar, which ended in 2020.

Despite the long-distance nature of their current relationship, with DeSorbo in NYC and Conover in Charleston, South Carolina, Conover has been vocal about wanting to take the next step.

On the 8th season of Summer House, DeSorbo confessed she wasn’t ready for marriage or motherhood, preferring to focus on her career. Conover is a star on Bravo's Southern Charm.

She echoed this sentiment on the podcast, spilling: “Last time a boyfriend wanted to propose to me, I broke out into hives, and I ran away.”

She explained that Conover’s readiness for marriage stems partly from his South Carolina roots, where marriage and family are more common among his friends. “They’re, like, starting a commune down there,” she joked.

Conover, meanwhile, has been working on self-improvement. On Summer House, he told Kyle Cooke: “I love Paige, but I’m almost becoming the best version of myself, and so if we work out, we work out, but if we don’t, it’s not the end of the world.”

DeSorbo addressed Conover’s pragmatic approach, acknowledging the challenges of their long-distance relationship. “We have a higher [chance of breaking up] because we do do long distance, but I think if we weren’t acknowledging that we would be really naïve.”

Despite the ups and downs, DeSorbo remains committed, telling Bravo: “I already give Conover as much of myself as I can. It’s actually draining me.”
