Paige DeSorbo’s besties Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula are finally done protecting her ex — and the receipts are rolling in.
After years of playing nice with “Southern Charm’s” Craig Conover, the women of “Summer House” are changing their tune. In a recent interview, Miller and Batula revealed they’re finished covering for DeSorbo’s ex-boyfriend, and they’re not holding anything back.
Paige DeSorbo’s Besties Say They Are No Longer Defending Craig Conover
During their joint interview with Vulture, Miller didn’t sugarcoat her feelings: “She saved a lot of face in the beginning,” she said, turning to DeSorbo. “She did him favors that I was like, you probably shouldn’t.” Batula agreed, adding, “I think a lot of us have protected Craig. He’s lucky.” But the kicker came from Miller: “And now all bets are off.”
Their comments mark a major shift after years of defending Conover for years both on and off camera. The two women stood by DeSorbo throughout the highs and lows of her three-year relationship, but now, they’re embracing her single-girl era.
The ‘Summer House’ Crew Even Lied for the ‘Southern Charm’ Star
One of the best examples of the group covering for Conover happened after Batula and Kyle Cooke’s 2021 wedding. Rumors swirled for years that Craig had been kicked out of the event — something no one publicly confirmed until this season of “Summer House.”
In a bombshell moment, Cooke revealed the truth on camera. “The guy got kicked out of my wedding. He continues to lie about that,” he said in a confessional, clearly frustrated. The tension stemmed from Conover’s current behind-the-scenes business drama involving Spritz Society vs Loverboy, and while DeSorbo remained quiet at the time, it’s clear her friends were biting their tongues for her sake.
Cooke added that Conover made “no attempt to clear anything up” and accused him of “blatantly lying,” suggesting this was far from a one-time offense.
Paige DeSorbo Opens Up About Craig Conover’s Shady Texts
As season 9 of “Summer House” unfolds, the Paige-and-Craig breakup is finally getting screen time — and DeSorbo isn’t hiding the red flags anymore. While both parties have denied cheating, a preview for the finale showed DeSorbo referencing Conover “texting other (expletive).”
In the Vulture interview, DeSorbo expanded on that bombshell. “Honestly, I don’t know if it was platonic or anything more, but there were multiple times in our relationship when I gave him so much grace,” she said. “Should I have broken up with him a year and a half ago when I saw him texting hearts to a girl? Probably. But again, I loved him and I wanted to marry him.”
After officially announcing their split in December 2024, Paige later clarified they broke up over Thanksgiving weekend. Since then, her co-stars have rallied behind her and called out Conover’s behavior in the process.
Batula called his post-breakup behavior “a little ridiculous,” especially his decision to unfollow DeSorbo on social media. “I think Craig likes the sympathy from everyone,” she said to US Weekly. “What he should have done was clear up the cheating rumors because she’s really getting a lot of hate for that.”
With DeSorbo staying booked and busy — from podcasting and touring to filming nonstop — it’s clear she’s moved on. And now, so have her friends.
