Paige DeSorbo is tired of the pressure to get engaged to her long-distance boyfriend, Craig Conover. The Summer House cast member's relationship with the Southern Charm-er has been put under a microscope, with viewers wondering when he will finally ask her the big question. But, in a recent interview with People magazine, Paige said that she is focusing on her career first before she decides to settle down with him.
"When I get married and have a baby, I want to be so in it," Paige said. "And I would feel like a fraud if I said to Craig, 'Okay, let's just get married and have a baby because everyone is pressuring us.'"
Although Paige is very much a planner, she told the publication that she wants to be surprised when Craig proposes. "Hopefully no one ruins it for me in terms of filming," she said. However, she does have plans for her outfit. She joked in the interview with the magazine that she will "100 percent be wearing shoulder pads" when it happens. "It would be rude if I didn't and I think Lindsay [Hubbard] would agree."
Paige DeSorbo's thoughts on Lindsay Hubbard's engagement outfit
In case you need a refresher, Paige is referring to when Lindsay got engaged to her now ex Carl Radke in Summer House Season 7, Episode 13. Lindsay had claimed at the time that the oceanside proposal was a complete surprise. However, Paige cited Lindsay's outfit as a reason for why she thought she saw it coming.
"She wore shoulder pads to the beach," Paige explained during a confessional. "She knew she was getting proposed to! Nobody just shows up in shoulder pads to the ocean. I feel like I'm a bitch for saying what everyone is just thinking in their head. She curled her hair, as she should! I'm proud of her. Yes, if you know it's happening, pick out the best possible outfit. Get your nails done. Be prepared!"
Paige DeSorbo reveals the secret to making her relationship with Craig Conover work
Although Paige and Craig are currently in a long-distance relationship, she told People magazine that her relationship with Craig is the strongest relationship she's ever been in. This is because Craig really gets her.
"He knows TV Paige, but he also knows at-home Paige," she said. "He gets when I'm silent and when I haven't left my apartment for four days. And he gets that I'm not a mean girl, that I literally need to recharge. I have to be alone. I have to chill out for a second. And he gets that. And I think that's the biggest thing for me."
But, Craig also gets that she doesn't want to get engaged until she's ready to slow down in her career. "I want to fully take in this experience because I know it's going to go so fast," she added. "I worked for it, and I'm excited for it."
