THE Kansas City Chiefs found themselves stranded in Denver on Sunday following their shock 38-0 defeat to the Broncos.
Having rested some key players – including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce – Andy Reid and Co found themselves on the wrong end of a humiliating result at Empower Field.

And their weekend went from bad to worse when they got stranded in the Mile High City.
Kansas City ‘s airport was forced to close on Sunday while a blizzard swept through the Midwest.
As a result, the Chiefs could not fly back until Monday morning.
The team bus left the hotel for the airport at 8:30am local time.
They subsequently landed back in Kansas much later than initially planned.
The Chiefs suffered more travel chaos on their way over to Denver before the game due to a winter storm.
They left Kansas City four hours behind schedule after being stranded on the runway.
Fox News reported the Chiefs were due to leave at 2:45pm on Saturday.
However, it was not until 6:30pm ET when they finally set off.
Luckily for the Chiefs, they had already locked down the No1 seed ahead of the final match of the NFL regular season.
Meanwhile, the Broncos managed to secure a playoff spot with their huge win on Sunday.
Head coach Sean Payton said: “Most NFL seasons are filled with highs and lows.
“Do you have the grit and the fortitude to weather the lows? [Our record was] 0-2 and going on the road, we got to get a win in Tampa.
“That was an important stretch, that East Coast swing. When you can have some success, then you can have some confidence. Then it becomes something that can repeat itself.
“It’s hard to have confidence if you haven’t really demonstrated it yet, and so we began to see young players thrive in certain positions, some veterans, some key veterans, come in and fill in roles for us.
“So, it was a number of different transactions that worked out. I’m proud of them.”
